AGENDA
Objective Centre of France : After Bordeaux, Colmar, La Baule, Nuits Saint Georges, St. Brieuc and Mende,
Moulins will enable us to discover another facet of France : that of the origin of the Bourbon’s, between
Burgundy, the Morvan and Auvergne, a land of gently rolling green hills, a land of cattle raising which
produces its famous Charollais, but also a land of tradition and history, very rich heritage, where the quality of
life is immediately perceptible. And to make matters even better, gastronomy is pervasive. A new destination
only two hours away from any point in France by RV of course, and for those who already know this region,
just next door to Vichy and St. Yann.
Arrivals/Departures : You may arrive as of Friday morning and depart any time you wish (VFR day). We
foresee no restrictions. You should of course as usual consult the appropriate NOTAMS Moulins (LFHY).
Fight into and out of Moulins will be undertaken within the context of standard arrival/departure flight
procedures. The organizers decline all responsibilities related to infringement of air traffic regulations.
AFIS : The field is managed by AFIS’s who shall be available during our fly-in. Please note that contrary to
what has been said in the VAC charts, we have been told by the AFIS’s that they shall be able to advise on
traffic in English.
Customs : There are no Customs facilities at Moulins. Visitors from outside Schengen shall have to clear
customs in another airport prior to arriving and after departing.
Runways :
One hard coated runway 08/26 - 1300 x 30m
One grass runway 08/26 - 840 x 80m – 2 exits towards the hard coated runway : one in front of the
taxiway and one in front of the soaring club house.
Fuel : 100LL fuel available via an automat 24/24h with the TOTAL card, or payment via check, currency, or
credit card during normal office hours. Payment in € and if by check, cashable in France You should refill
immediately upon arrival.

Airplane Parking: The site is large enough that it’s capacity should pose no problem as to parking airplanes.
RVs will be parked on the right of the taxiway leading to the runway (RVAs whose owners do not wish to go on
grass may park on hard aprons according to availability however without tie-down facilities).
Registration : For those arriving by land and for those arriving by air, after having refueled and parked the
airplane, fly-in attendees are requested to register right away with the organizers in the aeroclub hangar.
Meals can be paid with cash in € or € checks cashable in French banks. Foreigners (particularly the British)
are requested to bring sufficient Euros as there is no ATM (cash dispenser) on the field. Luggage can be
stored in the aeroclub as you wait for transfer to your hotel. Pilots who desire to compete in the various
categories – prizes will be awarded Saturday night as usual – should signal this during registration.
Landing and parking taxes : The regions has been traditionally very favorable to such undertakings as our
fly-in. They have conceded to grant us no landing and parking fees judging that the business you generate by
coming to visit the area more than compensates for the small revenue which such fees would have generated.
Weather : You will be able to inquire upon weather conditions from the pilot’s room of the aeroclub. Situation
bulletins will be posted for all to see Sunday morning.
Meals : Food service will be provided at the airport in the restaurant’s main room by our amiable caterer Eric
Geffroy during the three days of the fly-in.
Breakfast 5,00€ Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning (particularly important for the few who shall be
lodging on site).
Lunch and dinner 12,00€ Friday lunch and supper
Buffet gourmand 20,00€ Saturday lunch
Gala Dîner 45,00€ Saturday Night
Food bag to take or eat on site 7,00€ Sunday lunch ( as of 10h30)
The restaurant shall remain open for the entire duration of the fly-in. It will be open to ensure that attendees
should be amply refreshed.
Accommodations : You can reserve a room in any of the numerous hotels in the city and neighboring area
(please note that we provide transportation to certain hotels only – see details below). You can also camp on
site, in an area 100 m from the RV parking area. You will have access to toilets and showers. NEW : The local
chamber of commerce has 15 rooms in a building app. 300ft from the main building (7 with a large bed
and 8 with twin beds). Each room, simple but clean, has a sink. Toilets and showers are in the center
of the building (two each separate for men from women). Pricing :
Room with large bed 14,50€/night + 4,50€ for bedding (first night)
Room with twin beds 19,00€/night + 4,50€ for bedding per person (first night)
The entire building will be managed by the VCF, which should guarantee us quietness and
togetherness. The number of rooms being limited, we shall attribute them on a first come basis.
Transport from/to the airport: A shuttle service will be available via a VCF minibus, mainly to designated
hotels*. Participants coming in by car are also invited to offer their services occasionally in keeping with the
spirit of usual VCF fly-ins. Return to the hotels after the Gala dinner will be undertaken via a bus, two or three
rotations depending on numbers.
Free tasting of St Pourçain wine and regional products at 19h00 Saturday night on the tarmac.
Tourism : We invite you to look at the various sites listed below to discover the region. The Allier Department
is certainly not the best know tourist destination however a great deal of pleasure can be derived by
discovering its richness, its authenticity and its quality of life.

If the weather holds out we expect the VCF fly-in to be one of the major EuropeanRV events.
We should be able to park more RVs than turbine planes…
