LAUNCH OF EPEX TRADING SYSTEM (ETS) ON EPEX SPOT GERMAN/AUSTRIAN
AND SWISS AUCTIONS
Dear EPEX Spot Member,
Following the successful launch of ETS on the French Spot Auction on 16 June 2010, EPEX
Spot is pleased to announce the launch of the German/Austrian and Swiss Spot Auction
market on EPEX Trading system, as of 28th September 2010 (trading date for delivery date
29 September 2010), subject to member readiness and success of final testing.
1- For EPEX members who will connect for the first time, the ETS Client application is
available for download in the Download Center on the EPEX Spot website:
http://www.epexspot.com/en/download-center/technical_documentation. You will also
find an installation guide and a new User Guide. A demo of the system is also
available for training purpose on the “News & Training” platform
(https://www.elearning.epexspot.com/). (*)
Next steps to get ETS system up and running would be :

Install the ETS Client application as soon as possible,
o Simulation environment server address is : ets-demo.epexspot.com
o Production environment server address is : ets.epexspot.com
Verify the connections to EPEX Spot’s production platform, using the access
codes (logins and passwords) that will be sent in the course of week 32.
Verify their portfolio and TSO delivery area access settings on the new platform.
In case of discrepancies, please contact EPEX Market Operations as soon as
possible. Please be kindly advised that new user/portfolio forms need to be sent
as soon as possible, latest by 1st week of September 2010 (if not already done).
2- For EPEX members who are already using ETS in production on French Spot
Auction, they can use their current logins and passwords to verify their portfolio and
TSO delivery area access settings for German/Austrian and Swiss Auctions.
German/Austrian and Swiss settings will be visible for all as of 1st September 2010.

website by clicking on the dedicated link and entering the email address only :

LANCEMENT D’ETS (EPEX TRADING SYSTEM) SUR LE FIXING
ALLEMAND/AUTRICHIEN ET SUISSE D’EPEX SPOT
Cher membre d’EPEX Spot,
Suite au lancement réussi d’ETS sur le fixing français le 16 juin 2010, EPEX Spot est
heureux de vous annoncer le lancement d’EPEX Trading System sur le fixing
allemand/autrichien et suisse le 28 septembre 2010 (date d’enchère pour une livraison au
29 septembre 2010), sous condition de la préparation des membres et de la réussite des
derniers tests.
1- Pour les membres EPEX qui se connecteront pour la première fois, l’application
client ETS est disponible dans la section téléchargement du site d’EPEX Spot :
http://www.epexspot.com/fr/telechargement/documentation_technique. Vous y
trouverez aussi le guide d’installation et le guide client. Une demonstration du
système est aussi disponible sur la plateforme de formation e-learning „News &
Training“ (https://www.elearning.epexspot.com/). (*)
Les étapes du déploiement du système ETS sont:
• Installer l’application client ETS le plus rapidement possible
o L’adresse du serveur de simulation est : ets-demo.epexspot.com
o L’adresse du serveur de production est : ets.epexspot.com
• Vérifier les connexions vers la plateforme de production d’EPEX Spot en
utilisant les codes d’accès (identifiants et mots de passe) qui seront envoyés
en semaine 32.
• Vérifier les paramétrages des portefeuilles et de la zone TSO sur la nouvelle
plateforme. En cas de divergence, contacter les Opérations de marché
d’EPEX Spot le plus rapidement possible. Merci de noter que les formulaires
de demandes d’un nouvel utilisateur/ portefeuille sont à nous retourner le plus
rapidement possible, au plus tard la première semaine de septembre 2010 (si
ce n’est pas déjà fait).
2- Pour les membres EPEX qui utilisent déjà ETS en production sur le fixing
français, ils peuvent se servir de leurs identifiants et mots de passe actuels pour
vérifier leur portefeuille et la zone TSO sur le fixing allemand/autrichien et suisse.
Les paramétrages allemand/autrichien et suisse seront visibles au 1er septembre 2010.
(*): Rappel : les identifiants et mots de passe oubliés peuvent être retrouvés sur la
plateforme e-learning en cliquant sur le lien „forgotten your username or password“ et en
indiquant son adresse email.

EINFÜHRUNG DES EPEX HANDELSSYSTEMS (ETS) FÜR DIE MARKTGEBIETE
DEUTSCHLAND/ÖSTERREICH UND SCHWEIZ
Sehr geehrter EPEX Spot Teilnehmer,
Im Anschluss an die erfolgreiche Einführung des EPEX Trading System (ETS) am 16. Juni
2010 für das französische Marktgebiet, freuen wir uns Ihnen nun die Einführung von ETS
auch für die Marktgebiete Deutschland/Österreich und Schweiz anzukündigen. Die Auktion
wird erstmalig am 28. September 2010 (= Handelstag mit Liefertag 29. September 2010)
stattfinden, sobald die Mitglieder bereit und letzte Tests erfolgreich durchgeführt worden
sind.
1- Für EPEX Handelsteilnehmer, die sich in ETS erstmalig anmelden, steht Ihnen
der ETS Client auf der EPEX Spot Internetseite im Download Center zur

Weitere Schritte zur Installation von ETS:
• Installieren Sie die ETS Client Anwendung
o Die Serveradresse für die Simulationsumgebung lautet:

o Die Serveradresse für die Produktionsumgebung lautet:

• Überprüfen Sie die Verbindung zur EPEX Spot Produktionsumgebung,
indem Sie die Zugangscodes (Login und Passwort) verwenden, welche in
KW 32 versandt werden.
• Überprüfen Sie sodann die Einstellungen des Portfolios und des TSOLiefergebiets auf der neuen Plattform. Im Falle von Diskrepanzen
kontaktieren Sie bitte umgehend die EPEX Spot Market Operations. Bitte
senden Sie uns die neuen Benutzer/Portfolio-Formulare sobald wie möglich,
spätestens bis zur 1. Septemberwoche, falls Sie dies nicht schon getan
haben.
2- EPEX Handelsteilnehmer, die ETS bereits für die französische Auktion nutzen,
können Ihre aktuellen Logins und Passwörter nutzen, um die Einstellung des
Portfolios sowie der Regelzone für die Auktion Deutschland/Österreich und
Schweiz zu prüfen. Die Einstellungen für Deutschland/Österreich und Schweiz
werden für alle ab 1. September sichtbar sein.
