Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt kann an einen USB-Port eines PCs angeschlossen werden und dient
dort zum Lesen und Beschreiben von Speicherkarten in den Formaten
CompactFlash, Smartmedia, Memorystick, SD und MMC.

Stecken Sie erst danach den USB-Kartenleser an einen freien USB-Port Ihres PCs
an.
Einstecken/Entnehmen von Speicherkarten
Stecken Sie die Speicherkarte korrekt in den zugehörigen Einschub des USBKartenlesers; nur eine Orientierung ist richtig.
Wenden Sie beim Einstecken keine Gewalt an!
Wenn Lese-/Schreibzugriffe auf die Speicherkarte erfolgen, so warten Sie, bis diese abgeschlossen sind. Ziehen Sie erst danach die Speicherkarte heraus.
Wird die Speicherkarte während einem Lese-/Schreibzugriff herausgezogen, so
können die Daten auf der Speicherkarte beschädigt werden, möglicherweise ist
danach sogar eine neue Formatierung der Speicherkarte erforderlich.
An- und Abstecken des USB-Kartenlesers
Entnehmen Sie vor einem An- bzw. Abstecken des USB-Kartenlesers die evtl. eingesetzten Speicherkarten; ansonsten können Daten auf den Speicherkarten
beschädigt werden.
Auslesen/Beschreiben von Speicherkarten
Jeder der 4 Einschübe wird wie ein herkömmliches Wechseldatenträger-Laufwerk
eingebunden. Vier zusätzliche Laufwerksbuchstaben werden von Windows automatisch vergeben.
Im Datei-Explorer können Sie nun die Daten auf der Speicherkarte auslesen (oder
Daten auf die Speicherkarte speichern), genauso wie von Festplatte oder
Diskettenlaufwerk.
Verzeichnis-Strukturen auf der Speicherkarte sollten Sie jedoch nicht löschen, da
sie sonst in MP3-Player, Kamera, PDA usw. wieder formatiert werden muss.

Software-Installation und Anschluss
Bei Windows ME/XP stecken Sie den USB-Kartenleser an einen freien USB-Port
Ihres PCs an. Die mitgelieferte CD ist nicht erforderlich, da die benötigten Treiber in
Windows ME/XP enthalten sind.
Bei der Verwendung einer CompactFlash-Festplatte ist ein High-Power-USB-Port
erforderlich; dies ist ein USB-Port, der einen Strom von 500mA liefern kann (z.B. der
USB-Port eines Motherboards oder USB-Hubs mit Netzteil).
Beim Löschen oder Beschreiben von Speicherkarten im SD-/MS-Format ist darauf zu achten, dass der Schreibschutz ausgeschaltet ist.
Bei Windows 98/98SE legen Sie zuerst die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende
Laufwerk Ihres PCs ein und starten Sie das Programm "Setup.exe" (im Verzeichnis
"Abe UR60 6-in-1 Card Reader/Win98-2k") und folgen Sie allen Anweisungen.

Inserting/Removing Memory Cards
Put a memory card correctly into the insert of the USB-card reader; only one orientation is correct.
Do not force the card into the insert!
If there are reading or writing accesses in process on the memory card wait until
they are completed. Only then pull out the memory card.
If the memory card is pulled out during a reading or writing access the data on the
memory card might be damaged, it might even become necessary to format the
memory card once more.
Plugging in and Disconnecting the USB-Card Reader
Remove the inserted memory card, if any, prior to plugging in or disconnecting the
USB-card reader; otherwise the data stored on the memory card may be damaged.
Reading out/Writing on Memory Cards
Every single one of the 4 inserts is integrated like a conventional running carriage
for exchangeable data carrier. Four additional letters for running carriages are automatically assigned by Windows.
In the file explorer you may now read out data on the memory card (or store data on
the memory card) like you do with a hard disk or a diskette running carriage.
The structure of the dictionaries on the memory card, however, should not be
changed as otherwise they have to be formatted again when used in a MP3-player,
camera, PDA, etc.
Tips & Notes
When using a CompactFlash hard disk a High-Power-USB-port is necessary, this is
a USB-port which is able to supply current of 500mA (e.g. USB-port of a motherboard or USB-hub with mains unit).
When writing on or deleting memory cards in the SD-/ MS-format make sure that
the write protection is deactivated.
Software Installation and Connection
With Windows ME/ XP plug the USB-card reader into a free USB-port of your PC. The
supplied driver-CD is not required as the drivers are included in Windows ME/ XP.
With Windows 98/ 98SE insert the supplied CD in the corresponding running carriage of your PC and start the programme "Setup.exe” on the CD (inside the folder
"Abe UR60 6-in-1 Card Reader/W98-2k") anf follow the instructions.
Plug the USB-card reader only then into a free USB-port of your PC.

Ne forcez pas en introduisant la carte !
Attendez avant de retirer la carte mémoire que les opérations de lecture/écriture sur
la carte mémoire soient bien terminées. Retirez la carte mémoire seulement après.
Si vous enlevez la carte pendant la lecture / l’écriture, vous risquez d’endommager
les données mémorisées sur la carte et même qu’il faille re-formater celle-ci à nouveau.
Connexion/déconnexion du lecteur de cartes USB
Avant toute connexion / déconnexion du lecteur de cartes USB, veuillez retirer toute carte mémoire y étant introduite encore, sinon vous risquez d’endommager les
données qu’elle contient.
Lecture / enregistrement de cartes mémoire
Chaque baie du présent lecteur de cartes USB est traitée comme un support de données amovible ordinaire. Trois lettres de lecteur supplémentaires sont attribuées
automatiquement par Windows .

A l'aide de l'explorateur de fichiers, vous pouvez maintenant lire les données se
trouvant sur la carte mémoire (ou enregistrer des données sur celle-ci), de la même
manière que sur le disque dur ou sur le lecteur de disquettes.
Il est cependant préférable de ne pas effacer l'arborescence de dossiers installée
sur la carte mémoire, car autrement elle devra être reformatée sur le lecteur MP3,
le caméscope, l’assistant personnel etc.
Branchement et installation du logiciel
Trucs & astuces
Introduisez le lecteur de cartes USB dans un port USB libre de votre micro-ordinateur.
Si vous utilisez un disque dur compact-flash, un port de puissance élevée est nécessaire; ceci est un port pouvant fournir un courant de 500 mA (comme par ex. le port
USB d'une carte mère ou d'un concentrateur USB avec son propre bloc d'alimentation).
Dans Windows ME ou XP, les pilotes sont déjà intégrés au système et le CD pilote
joint est inutile ! Suivez toutes les instructions données par Windows ME/XP.
Pour Windows 98 ou Windows 98SE, mettez le CD pilote dans votre lecteur de CD.
Suivez toutes les instructions données par Windows.
