For over half a century the Crazy Horse has been the typical
Parisian venue, that everyone claims to know, whether they have
been there or not.
This film, shot backstage at the Crazy Horse during an international
audition, affords the opportunity of seeing this traditional
establishment in full working order.
We follow the girls on their heady emotional journey, to get an idea
of the irresistible scent that incites them to go on stage naked.
Are these young girls following their dreams? Has harsh reality
brought them there? How do they overcome their inhibitions to go
on stage? How do they cope with the judgements of their
entourage ?
How do they feel about the perpetual draconian scrutiny of their
weight and appearance?
We also slip backstage at the Crazy Horse to follow a key decision
maker – Sofia, the choreographer. She is responsible for the
establishment's artistic direction and the choice of dancers.
Backstage reigns the strictest of discipline.
From the initial auditions to the choice of the lucky few, join us as
we slip into this other world.
Depuis plus d'un demi-siècle, le Crazy Horse est ce lieu typiquement
parisien, que tout le monde dit connaître, même sans y être allé.
Filmer les coulisses du Crazy Horse à travers un casting international
est l'occasion de voir cette maison traditionnelle fonctionner à plein.
Nous suivons les filles durant leur parcours riche en émotions fortes
pour rendre compte de cet emballant parfum qui incite à monter nue
sur scène.
Quels sont les rêves de ces jeunes filles ? Comment vaincre ses inhibitions pour monter nue sur scène ? Comment font-elles pour tenir
face aux jugements parfois sévères de l'entourage ? Comment viventelles la surveillance draconienne au quotidien concernant leur poids et
leur apparence ?
Nous nous glissons également dans les coulisses du Crazy Horse
pour suivre une décisionnaire-clé de la maison : Sofia, la chorégraphe.
C'est elle qui assure la direction artistique de la maison et qui choisit
les danseuses. Dans ces coulisses règne une rigueur implacable.
Des premiers castings jusqu'au choix de l'élue, nous nous infiltrons
dans un monde à part.
