It is not a definitive choice, but it will help us give you more informations and further assistance : ¨ ICES catholic residence : rooms are available for study abroad students at ICES freshmens’ residence (boys and girls). The residence offers single rooms with bathroom, laundry and kitchen to share with the other students. It is not only a residence, it is also a place where you will share a community life, with an important christian dimension. M onthly rent : 350 € > Being a catholic is not compulsory, but you need to be interested and to accept to discuss and to share this dimension of life. Credits and Grading system French grading system European Credits ECTS Grades in France are awarded on a scale from 0 to 20. 20 = highest 0 = lowest. Immigration regulations are subject to frequent change we encourage you to check with the French Embassy in your home country and check the type of visa needed. Non Europeans need to register at the French Office of Immigration and Integration OFII http://www.ofii.fr/ (58 Euros fee) If your stay is longer than 3 months, the french health insurance is required (approx. fees : 211 €) Are exempted from these fees, students holding : -­‐ a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) -­‐ an SE401Q102 or SE401Q106 from the R.A.M.Q. (Québec) The registration at the student office upon arrival will check your personal situation. The French medical coverage begins on October 1rst : for non-­‐European students arriving in France before, they must subscribe to a personal medical insurance for the period preceding the French coverage. Note that the French medical system will not cover 100% of your medical bills. You can subscribe to a personal medical insurance to cover the rest. More information on http://www.smeba.fr/foreign-­‐students.html ICES helps you to open a bank account with preferential prices. It provides you : visa card + insurance for your accomodation = 50 euros/year (compulsory) + a mobile phone package for 15,99 euros/months (not compulsory). Fees that will be payed back when you leave: 15 euros ICES can provide a pick up service if you provide your precise arrival day and time almost 72h before.
