CANDIDATE: Geree Wald Morton

Geree Wald Morton is Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at
Plaster and Wald Consulting Corporation. She is responsible for managing more than
300 field consultants and engineers, building relationships with customers, and
overseeing all advertising and public relations projects.
Geree never thought her career path would consist of following in her father’s footsteps,
but that’s exactly what happened. After landing her first job as Membership and
Marketing Coordinator with the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, she
quickly realized her passion for the oil and natural gas industry.
She has been involved in nearly every oil and natural gas organization in Oklahoma.
Geree was instrumental in starting up chapters of the American Association of Drilling
Engineers at Oklahoma State University, Tulsa University and the University of
Oklahoma. She has served as past co-chair, special events co-chair and secretary for
the Society of Petroleum Engineers Young Professionals organization and received the
SPE Young Member Outstanding Service and Contribution to the Industry Award in
2011. Today, Geree serves as the National Vice President for AADE, the Student
Liaison for Mid-Continent’s local chapter and the National Student Section Advisor.
She was recently nominated to sit on the board of the Oklahoma Independent
Petroleum Association (OIPA) and has also been involved in the OIPA’s Annual Service
Auction for the past six years and holds memberships with IADC, SPE and the
Oklahoma Energy Explorers.
She attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Marketing and a minor in Human Resources Management.
