Our Sick
We are always pleased to bring Holy
Communion to the sick, to the elderly
unable to come to church. Contact the

Precious Blood Parish
Pastoral Council: There will
be a Pastoral Council meeting
for Saint Joseph Parish, on
Tuesday, February 25th, 2014
at 7:00 pm in the Sacristy, at St.
Joseph’s church.
Finance Council: The meeting
is scheduled for March 4th,
2014 at 7:00pm. The meeting
will be held at the rectory in
Glen Walter.
The K of C St. Joseph Council will be
selling tickets after mass for the
next couple of weekends. There are a
1,000 prizes valued at over
$700,000. Tickets are $5.00 ea.
Proceeds go to the Arthritis society
and other K of C charities.
Saint Joseph Parish
Everyone is welcome to join us for a HAM AND BUNNY SHOOT, hosted by the K of C Roundtable of Precious Blood,
an evening of fun and games…. on Saturday, March 29th, 2014 starting at 7:00pm in the parish hall. All money
raised will be going for the “new furnace”.
SPAGHETTI JAMBOREE 2014 – organized by the Knights of Columbus at St-Martin–de-Tours Parish, on Saturday,
March 8th. Supper from 4 pm to 7 pm (spaghetti, salads, desserts, tea & coffee). Jamboree at 7 pm, hosted by “Our
Time”. Cash bar available. Cost: $10.00 adults, $5.00 children & FREE for 0 to 6 yrs. (Take out $10.00).

ATTENTION ALL PARISH MUSICIANS OF ALEXANDRIA-CORNWALL This year, there will be a Diocesan Choir for the Chrism
Mass to be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15 th, 2014 at 7 pm. at Nativity Co-Cathedral. Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, February
18th at 7pm at St. Peter`s Church. If you are interested and would like further details about rehearsal times, please contact
Helen McAlear at 613-932-8326 before February 4th. Due to the size of the choir loft, only a limited number of choir members
can be accommodated, so please call to make sure you are part of this group.
AVIS AUX MUSICIENS ET MUSICIENNES DES PAROISSES D’ALEXANDRIA-CORNWALL Cette année, il y aura un chœur de
chant diocésain pour la Messe Chrismale, qui sera célébrée le mardi, 15 avril, 2014 à 19h00 en la co-cathédrale de la Nativité.
Les répétitions commenceront le mardi, 18 février, à 19h00 en l`église St. Peter. Pour plus d’information, veuillez communiquer

les places sont limitées, donc il faudrait s’inscrire le plus tôt possible.
Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School News: Our Social Justice group will be back to work for
the second semester with a fundraiser dance for all our grade 7/8 students on Thursday, Feb. 13 from
4-6 p.m. in our atrium. This dance will be raising funds for our sponsor child Emmanuel, who lives
in the Philippines, through the great work of Chalice. A fun night will be had by all as we dance
away to bring happiness to children around the world.
Nativity Parish is organizing a Mini Monster bingo, on Saturday Feb. 1st; at 7pm. Package of 12 cards $21.00 includes specials,
Bonanza extra at .50 cents. NEW “Early Bird games” at 6 pm – prizes will be 50% of sales – maximum $100.00 per game. All
profits go to Nativity parish.
This year, a Diocesan team is already working hard in organizing a delegation from our Diocese to participate in the Catholic
Youth Conference “Steubenville Toronto” from July 4-6, 2014. The promotion tools are almost ready! So, the parish youth
contacts will be very important so that they can be the friendly voice that invites, informs, and encourages youth to participate.

la Conférence catholique « Steubenville Toronto » du 4 au 6 juillet, 2014. Les outils de promotion sont presque prêts! Donc, les
contacts jeunesse de la paroisse seront très importants en vue d’inviter, d’informer, d’encourager les jeunes à y participer.
Bishop’s Pix Movie Series
The Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall and the Port
Theatre have joined forces to present a monthly movie
series. We will be showing a different movie during
the second week of the month, beginning in February.
Our first movie is Bernadette, the official film at the
Lourdes grotto. It was on February 11, 1858 that Our
Lady first appeared to 14 year old Bernadette
Soubirous. This movie invites the viewer to
experience the early life of this beautiful saint,
through the apparitions and up until the time she
entered the convent of the Sisters of Nevers. The
movie will screen from February 7th through the 13th
at 7:15 p.m. at the Port Theatre (132 Montreal Road,
Cornwall). The cost is just $10. Visit

partir de février. Notre premier film est Bernadette,
