Bill C-420: An Act to establish the Office of the
Commissioner for Children and Young Persons in Canada
In a comment published in the National Post October 29th, 2012, Michael
Shevell, Pediatrician-in-Chief of the Montreal Children’s Hospital and
international leader in pediatric neuroethics, argues for the creation of a
Commissioner for Children and Young Persons in Canada. On November 5th, the
Canadian Federal Parliament will vote on Bill C- 420 “An Act to establish the
Office of the Commissioner for Children and Young Persons in Canada”.
