FITTING AND ADJUSTMENT
WARNING: Materials that come into contact with the wearer’s skin may cause allergic reactions in susceptible
individuals.
WARNING: Mesh eye protectors do not protect against molten metal splash, hot solids or electrical hazards.
WARNING: Eye protectors against high speed particles worn over standard ophthalmic spectacles may transmit
impacts, thus creating a hazard to the wearer.
Note: If protection against high-speed particles at extremes of temperature is required, the selected visor should be
marked with the letter ‘T’ immediately after the impact resistance letter. If the impact resistance letter is not followed by a
letter ‘T’, the visor must only be used against high speed particles at room temperature.
To ensure that full protection is obtained, the brow-guard, carriers and visor must be correctly adjusted to fit the wearer.
Brow-guard: To fit, loosen the head harness by means of the ratchet wheel at the back of the head harness. Fit the
brow-guard in position and tighten the ratchet wheel so that the head harness is comfortable over the forehead. It may
be necessary to adjust the head harness for height.
Plastic Carrier: To fit the carrier, simultaneously align both carrier arms with the accessory posts attached to the helmet
and assemble loosely. Depress the locating peg on the carrier arm and gently push each carrier arm into the
corresponding accessory post slot. To adjust further, depress each locating peg using a pointed implement (e.g. a
ballpoint pen) and set to the desired position.
Metal Carrier: To fit the carrier, place the helmet on top of the carrier with the peak inserted into the U-section of the
carrier. Carefully pull the spring back under the rear of the helmet until it is positioned in-line with the carrier. Finally
check for free movement of the carrier over the helmet.
Fitting the Visor to a Brow-guard or Plastic Carrier: Remove the protective film from the visor. Curve the visor to
match the approximate profile of the brow-guard or carrier. Secure each visor slot to each locating clip or lug, one at a
time, starting with the outermost slots and finishing with the central slot. Note: When fitting a visor to a brow-guard, a
positive ‘click’ will be heard when the visor is correctly fitted to the locating clips.
Fitting the Visor to a Metal Carrier: Remove the protective film from the visor. Disengage the flat, spring-retainers
located at each side of the carrier by lifting clear of the locating peg and rotating away from the carrier. Locate the central
visor slot over the central locating peg on the carrier. Locate each outer slot over the corresponding locating peg and
secure with the flat, spring retainers.
Note: All visors except IV920 Models must be fitted so that the visor markings face towards the outside of the assembled
visor and carrier.
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Examine the visor and carrier or brow-guard for deterioration and damage of any kind before and after each use.
WARNING: A scratched or damaged visor should be replaced immediately.

CLEANING
For best cleaning results, use soap and water and wipe with a soft cloth or tissue. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry
naturally.

Disinfection: Wash thoroughly in a hand-hot solution of TriGene cleansing and disinfecting solution. Rinse thoroughly

in clean, running water. Allow to dry thoroughly away from direct heat or sunlight. When dry, wipe with TriGene
disinfectant wipes. Polish the visor inside and out with a clean, lint-free cloth.

In everyday use we would recommend that these be discarded after 2 years in service. In some circumstances there
may be deterioration in a shorter period of time. For occasional use, we would anticipate a service life of about 3 years,
provided they are correctly maintained. Regardless of the above recommendations, visors and carriers or brow-guards
should be examined for deterioration and damage such as scratches, abrasions, cracks etc. before each use. Damaged
visors, carriers or brow-guards should be replaced immediately.
The products manufactured at our factories in Skelmersdale and Vaasa carry a warranty of 12 months (unless stated
otherwise) for parts, labour and return to site. The warranty period runs from the date of purchase by the end user.
These products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery. Scott Health
and Safety Limited will be under no liability for any defect arising from wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working
conditions, failure to follow the original manufacturer’s instructions, misuse or unauthorised alteration or repair. Evidence
of purchase date will need to be provided for any claims arising during the warranty period. All warranty claims must be
directed through Customer Services and in accordance with our sales return procedure.

Sehbrillen getragen werden, Aufprallstöße übertragen und damit eine Gefahr für den Träger darstellen.
Hinweis: Ist ein Schutz vor mit großer Geschwindigkeit umherfliegenden Teilchen, die extreme Temperaturen
aufweisen, erforderlich, so muss das gewählte Visier unmittelbar nach dem Buchstaben, der die Stoßfestigkeit angibt,
die Markierung ‘T’ aufweisen. Befindet sich nach dem Buchstaben, der die Stoßfestigkeit anzeigt, keine Markierung ‘T’,
so darf das Visier lediglich zum Schutz vor mit großer Geschwindigkeit umherfliegenden Teilchen bei Raumtemperatur
eingesetzt werden.
Um sicher zustellen, dass der vollständige Schutzgrad erreicht wird, muss die Einstellung von Augenbrauenschutz,
Träger und Visier korrekt an den Träger angepasst werden.
Augenbrauenschutz: Zum Einstellen ist die Inneneinrichtung mit dem hinten daran befindlichen Einrastsystem (Rad) zu
lösen. Bringen Sie den Augenbrauenschutz in der richtigen Position an und ziehen Sie das Einrastystem soweit fest,
dass die Inneneinrichtung bequem über der Stirn anliegt. Es ist evtl. notwendig, die Inneneinrichtung auf die richtige
Höhe einzustellen.
Kunststoffträger: Zum Einstellen des Trägers sind beide Trägerbügel gleichzeitig mit den Zubehörteilen am Helm
anzubringen und locker zu befestigen. Drücken Sie auf den Fixierstift am Trägerbügel und drücken Sie jeden Bügel
vorsichtig in den zugehörigen Schlitz des Zubehörteils. Zur Feineinstellung ist jeder Fixierstift erneut mit einem spitzen
Instrument (z.B. Kuli) zu drücken und auf die gewünschte Position einzustellen.
Metallträger: Zum Einbau des Trägers - Helm auf den Träger stellen und Schirm in die U-Sektion des Trägers einfügen.
Feder vorsichtig unter die Helmunterseite zurückziehen, bis sie sich auf gleicher Höhe mit dem Träger befindet. Zum
Schluss prüfen, dass sich der Träger problemlos über den Helm schieben lässt.
Befestigung des Augenschutzes an einem Augenbrauenschutz oder Kunststoffträger: Schutzfilm vom
Augenschutz entfernen. Biegen Sie den Augenschutz so zurecht, dass er ungefähr dem Profil von Augenbrauenschutz
oder Träger entspricht. Befestigen Sie alle Augenschutzschlitze nacheinander an ihren jeweiligen Fixierstiften oder ösen, wobei jeweils außen zu beginnen und mit dem mittleren Schlitz abzuschließen ist. Hinweis: Beim Befestigen des
Augenschutzes am Augenbrauenschutz lässt sich ein deutliches „Klickgeräusch“ vernehmen, wenn der Augenschutz
korrekt an den Fixierstiften einrastet.
Befestigung des Augenschutzes an einem Metallträger: Schutzfilm vom Augenschutz entfernen. Lösen Sie die
flachen Federhaltebügel, die sich auf beiden Seiten des Trägers befinden, indem Sie sie vom Fixierstift abheben und in
die dem Träger abgewandte Richtung drehen. Positionieren Sie den mittleren Augenschutzschlitz über dem mittleren
Fixierstift am Träger. Positionieren Sie jeden Außenschlitz über dem zugehörigen Fixierstift und sichern Sie ihn mit den
flachen Federhaltebügeln.
Hinweis: Alle Augenschützer – außer den Modellen der Serie IV920 – müssen so angebracht werden, dass die
Augenschutz-Markierungen nach dem Zusammenfügen von Augenschutz und Träger nach außen zeigen.

GAMME AVEC PROTECTION FACIALE INTEGREE
Zur Erzielung bester Ergebnisse bei der Reinigung sind Seife und Wasser zu verwenden und der Gesichtsschutz mit
einem weichen Stoff- bzw. Zellstofftuch abzuwischen. Gründlich abspülen und an der Luft trocknen lassen.

Desinfektion: Gründlich in einer handwarmen TriGene Reinigungs- und Desinfektionslösung abwaschen. Gründlich
unter sauberem, fließenden Wasser abspülen. Vollständig trocknen lassen – fern von direkter Hitzeeinwirkung oder

direkter Sonneneinstrahlung. Nach dem Trocknen mit TriGene -Desinfektionstüchern abwischen. Das Visier innen und
außen mit einem sauberen, fusselfreien Tuch abreiben.

LAGERUNG UND TRANSPORT
Bei Transport und Lagerung ist darauf zu achten, dass sich Visier und Halterung oder Augenbrauenschutz in sauberem
Zustand befinden und an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort, fern von direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, aufbewahrt werden.
Desweiteren sind Materialien zu vermeiden, die das Visier zerkratzen könnten, und es ist darauf zu achten, dass
Beschädigungen durch herunterfallende bzw. scharfe Gegenstände vermieden werden.
PRODUKTLEBENSDAUER
Bei täglichem Einsatz empfehlen wir, diese Teile nach zweijährigem Gebrauch zu entsorgen. In einigen Fällen können
Verschleißerscheinungen bereits nach kürzerer Zeit auftreten. Bei gelegentlichem Einsatz erwarten wir eine
Lebensdauer von 3 Jahren, vorausgesetzt, dass alle Teile korrekt gewartet werden. Ungeachtet der obigen
Empfehlungen sind Visiere und Halterungen oder Augenbrauenschützer vor jedem Einsatz auf Anzeichen von
Verschleiß oder Beschädigung, wie Kratzer, Abrieb, Risse und dgl. zu untersuchen. Ein beschädigtes Visier sowie
defekte Halterungen oder Augenbrauenschützer müssen unverzüglich ausgetauscht werden.
GARANTIEBESTIMMUNGEN
Für die in den Betriebsstätten des Unternehmens in Skelmersdale und Vaasa hergestellten Produkte gewährt das
Unternehmen eine Garantie von 12 Monaten (wenn nicht ausdrücklich anders lautend vereinbart) auf die verwendeten
Teile, Verarbeitung und Rücksendung. Die Garantiezeit beginnt mit dem Datum des Kaufes durch den Endnutzer. Das
Unternehmen übernimmt die Garantie dafür, dass diese Produkte zum Zeitpunkt der Auslieferung weder Material- noch
Fertigungsmängel aufweisen. Scott Health and Safety Limited übernimmt keinerlei Haftung bei vorsätzlicher
Beschädigung, Fahrlässigkeit, unüblichen Arbeitsbedingungen, Nichteinhaltung der ursprünglichen Betriebsanleitung/
Gebrauchsanweisung des Herstellers, unsachgemäßem Gebrauch und bei Modifikationen bzw. Reparaturen, die
nicht vom Unternehmen ermächtigt sind. Sofern Ansprüche während der Garantiezeit geltend gemacht werden, muss
das Kaufdatum belegt werden. Von allen Mängelrügen während der Garantiezeit muss die Kundendienstabteilung in
Kenntnis gesetzt werden, und die Abwicklung muss gemäß den Bestimmungen über die Rücksendung von Waren
erfolgen.

lunettes ophtalmiques standard, peuvent transmettre des impacts, créant ainsi un danger pour l'utilisateur.
Nota : Si une protection contre des particules à vitesse élevée et à des températures extrêmement élevées est
nécessaire, la visière sélectionnée doit être marquée avec la lettre "T" juste après la lettre indiquant la résistance à
l'impact. Si la lettre indiquant la résistance à l'impact n'est pas suivie par une lettre "T", la visière ne doit être utilisée que
pour se protéger contre les particules à vitesse élevée et à la température ambiante.
Pour assurer une protection totale, la protection frontale, les supports et la visière doivent être correctement ajustés sur
l'utilisateur.
Protection frontale : Pour installer, desserrez le harnais de tête à l'aide de la roue à cliquets à l'arrière du harnais de
tête. Placez la partie faciale en position et serrez la roue à cliquets pour que le harnais de tête se place en position
confortable sur le front. Il peut être nécessaire de régler la hauteur du harnais de tête.
Support en plastique : Pour installer le support, alignez simultanément les deux bras du support avec les montants
accessoires fixés sur le casque et assemblez sans serrer. Appuyez sur le pion de positionnement sur le bras du support
et enfoncez doucement chaque bras du support dans la fente du montant accessoire correspondant. Pour mieux ajuster,
enfoncez chaque pion de positionnement à l'aide d'un instrument pointu (un stylo à bille par ex.) et fixez à la position
voulue.
Support métallique : Pour installer le support, placez le casque au sommet du support, en insérant la pointe dans la
section en U du support. Tirez doucement en arrière le ressort sous la partie arrière du casque afin de l'aligner avec le
support. Enfin, vérifiez que le support se déplace librement sur le casque.
Installation de la visière sur une protection frontale ou un support en plastique : Enlevez le film de protection sur
la visière. Courbez la visière pour qu'elle épouse à peu près le profil de la protection frontale ou du support. Fixez
chaque fente de visière sur chaque oreille ou clip de positionnement, un à la fois, en commençant par les fentes les plus
à l'extérieur et en terminant par la fente centrale. Nota : Lorsqu’on installe une visière sur une protection frontale, on
entendra un « déclic » très net lorsque la visière est se place correctement sur les clips de positionnement.
Installation de la visière sur un support métallique : Enlevez le film de protection sur la visière. Libérez les ressort
plats de retenue de chaque coté du support en les soulevant pour les séparer du pion de positionnement et en les
faisant touner pour les séparer du support. Positionnez la fente centrale de la visière au dessus du pion central de
positionnement sur le support. Positionnez chaque fente extérieure au dessus du pion de positionnement correspondant
et fixez à l'aide des ressorts plats de retenue.
Nota : Toutes les visières, à l'exception des modèles IV920, doivent être montées de manière à ce que les marquages
de la visière soient tournés vers la surface extérieure de l'ensemble visière et support.
INSPECTION ET MAINTENANCE
NETTOYAGE
Pour obtenir le meilleur nettoyage possible, utilisez du savon et de l'eau et essuyez avec un chiffon tendre ou un tissu
papier. Rincez complètement et laissez sécher à l'air.

Désinfection : Lavez complètement dans une solution chaude de nettoyage et de désinfection TriGene . Rincez
complètement dans de l'eau courante propre. Laissez sécher complètement loin des sources de chaleur et à l'abri des

rayons solaires. Une fois sec, essuyez avec des mèches désinfectantes TriGene . Polissez les surfaces intérieures et
extérieures à l'aide d'un chiffon propre non pelucheux.

STOCKAGE ET TRANSPORT
Pendant le transport ou le stockage, vérifiez que la visière et le support ou la protection frontale sont propres et sont
stockés dans un environnement frais et sec à l'abri des rayons solaires directs. De plus, évitez les matériaux pouvant

protections frontales pour détecter les détériorations et les dommages, comme les rayures, les abrasions, les fissures,
etc., avant chaque utilisation. Les visières, les supports ou les protections frontales endommagés doivent être remplacés
immédiatement.
GARANTIE
Les produits fabriqués dans nos usines de Skelmersdale et Vaasa sont assortis d’une garantie de 12 mois (sauf
indication contraire) pour pièces, main-d’oeuvre et retour sur site. La période de garantie court à compter de la date de
l’achat par l’utilisateur final. Ces produits sont garantis contre les défauts ou vices de matériaux et de conception au
moment de la livraison. Scott Health and Safety Limited n’aura aucune responsabilité quant à tout défaut naissant d’un
dommage volontaire, d’une négligence, de conditions de travail anormales, du non respect des instructions du fabricant
initial, d’une mauvaise utilisation ou d’une altération ou d’une réparation non autorisées. Il conviendra de présenter un
justificatif de la date d’achat en vue de toute réclamation soulevée lors de la période de garantie. Toutes les
réclamations en garantie doivent être adressées au Service Clientèle et se conformer à notre procédure de retour de
produits.
