Joëlette LANDSCAPING MARKET Sales of garden rosebushes and rose trees, landscaping displays with nursery professionals and vendors on site. During ExpoRose, the City of Grasse and the Office of Tourism are providing a Joëlette (wheeled carry-chair) to the public, for use by persons with reduced mobility. EXHIBIT: PERFUME BOTTLES IN PRECIOUS WOODS In the Palais des Congrès convention center exhibition hall, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., see the magnificent woodworking of Jean-Pierre BOSELLI, cabinetmaker artisan. OFFICIAL OPENING - WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 AT 6:30 PM May is the month of roses, and Grasse pays tribute to these beautiful blooms by hosting its 46th For CRAFT AND CUISINE MARKET Crafts, cooking classes, gourmet foods, flower-based cosmetic products, locally made candies, workshop in making rose jam and crystallized flowers (Au Pays d’Audrey, SAS Mas de l’Olivine), floral art workshop (led by Rosnie Rayapin, floral designer). FLOWER DISPLAYS IN THE GRASSE FOUNTAINS Grasse’s main fountains - at the Palais des Congrès, the Place aux Aires, the Thouron, the Cours Honoré Cresp, and the City Hall Cour d’Honneur - are decorated by Grasse florists, members of the Chambre Syndicale des Alpes-Maritimes. SPRING STROLL From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, enjoy a spring stroll through street gardens and flowered pathways (courtesy of the D’UNE RIVE À L’AUTRE partnership with Grasse’s merchants, residents, and the «LES FÉES CONTRAIRES» recycling center. MICRO-GARDENS AND FLOWERED CHAIRS From Thursday to Sunday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, the Place aux Herbes takes on a feminine feel and becomes a garden. FLOWERS AND FINE FOODS The Villa Saint-Hilaire creative workshop comes to the ExpoRose. After making their own kitchen aprons and learning how rose jam is made, each child will make his or her own roses using marzipan.
