BIOGRAPHIE
Nicholas Couresa est né à Chypre en 1959.
Il a étudié l’Histoire Ancienne et Médiévale à University of London dans les institutions que sont la
Royal Holloway, le King’s College et la Royal Holloway. Depuis 1990, il travaille comme chercheur au
Centre de Recherche de Chypre en tant que spécialiste de l’Histoire de Chypre, notamment de la
Période de la maison Lusignan.
Depuis 2009, il est officiellement Senior Researcher du Centre de Recherche de Chypre et
Coordinateur dans le cadre du projet mené conjointement avec la fondation Ίδρυµα Προώθησης
Έρευνας et l’Université de Warwick à propos des relations de travail des années post-1974 à Chypre.
Il est également membre de la Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East (SSCLE),
ssocamembre du Centre Historique Grec (Ελληνική Ιστορική Εταιρεία) ainsi que de l’Association
Chypriote des Etudes Historiques (Κυπριακή Εταιρεία Ιστορικών Σπουδών).
Régulièrement, il donne il s’exprime à la Radio (Radio One) en anglais et grec pour la société
d’enregistrement Chypriote (CyBC/PIK) sur différents sujets et aspects de l’Histoire Chypriote.
