The Mercure Bordeaux Cité Mondiale Centre de Congrès is located in the heart of the historic
wine quarter overlooking the Garonne River. All meetings will take place at the Mercure

IAQG Night Gala Dinner

Saint Emilion Tour
Performance Excellence Marketplace (PEM)
IAQG is offering a Performance Excellence Marketplace (PEM) which will give leading edge
aerospace companies the opportunity to show their products and services to the attending
IAQG companies and invited suppliers. The PEM will operate from noon Wednesday 26
October – Thursday 27 October end of day and will be open to all attendees of the IAQG
meetings.
Social Events
 Wednesday 26 October – IAQG Night Gala Dinner will be hosted by EADS and
SAFRAN. The event will be held at Chateâu Giscours – http://www.chateaugiscours.fr/. The dress code is business casual. The group will be transported by bus
departing from the hotel lobby at 5:45pm. Please register for the dinner on the IAQG
Registration form located on the previous screen.
 Thursday 27 October – Partners Program will include a guided historical tour. A fee
will be charged for the tour. To schedule please contact the Bordeaux Tourism Office

Friday 28 October – Tour in Bordeaux Vineyard - Saint Emilion will include a tour of
the 8th century medieval village with lunch and wine related activities. The group will be
transported by bus departing from and returning to the hotel. The tour will leave the
hotel early morning. A fee will be charged for the tour of 50€ (~USD$75)

Weather – The weather in Bordeaux can be quite nice in October. The average daytime
temperature is 18.8°C (65.8°F). Evening temperatures average 9.5°C (49°F).

Currency - The local currency is the Euro (€). Most major banks, hotels and airports
have ATMs/cash dispensers. Major international credit cards are accepted in most large
stores and restaurants.

Electricity Supply – The French electricity supply is 220 volts. An adapter may be
required for your plug and a transformer for your electrical equipment if it runs on a
different power supply.
