L’unique album de Country Lane vit le jour en 1973. Ce groupe suisse emmené par le claviériste/ guitariste/
chanteur Raymond Amey, accompagné du claviériste O.Maire, du guitariste F. Von Kaenel , du bassiste
G.Duella et du batteur J.F. Donze, sut créer une musique originale, mêlant les influences heavy/ rock à la Deep
Purple et celles de l’école progressive anglaise (Nice entre autres). Des moments percutants, d’autres tout en
atmosphères subtiles, des parties chantées convaincantes (en Anglais), sont la base d’un excellent album bien
typé « années 70 », plein de fraîcheur et de sincérité…
Points forts : -des parties de claviers et de guitares très élaborées.
- Un mélange de chansons et de pièces plus complexes.
- L’album a été intégralement remixé par trois membres du groupe l’année dernière
Country Lane’s only album was initially released in 1973. This swiss band led by the keyboardist/guitarist/singer
Raymond Amey, helped by keyboardist O.Maire, guitarist F.Von Kaenel, bass player G.Duella and drummer J.F.
Donze, created an original rock music, mixing heavy influences like Deep Purple and progressive ones (like
Nice and the others english progressive bands). Straight rock moments, dreamy atmospheres, nice vocals
(English sung) are the base of an excellent seventies album, full of freshness and sincerity…
