Colourful jubilation
“People see madness in colourful liveliness without seeing
the madness in their boring normality”. These words
of the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland are also the
leitmotiv of design that brightens up creation and jokes
with fashion. Sun red loose covers adorn the Nendo sofa,
placed on a solid bleached or tinted beech base.
In the name of stylish ‘feel good’ and the dolce vita, the recent
international furniture fair in Milan (Salone del Mobile) turned the
spotlight on new beautiful, optimistic and sensual designs.
Jubilation colorée
« Les gens voient la folie dans la vivacité colorée sans voir
la folie dans leur ennuyeuse normalité ». La phrase du
Chapelier toqué d’Alice au pays des merveilles, c’est aussi le
leitmotiv du design, qui déride la création et badine avec
la mode. Le rouge solaire et déhoussable habille le canapé
de Nendo, campé sur une base en hêtre massif blanchi
ou teinté.
Au nom du feel good stylé et de la dolce vita, le dernier Salon
international du meuble de Milan fait l’éloge de nouvelles créations
radieuses, optimistes et sensuelles.

Flowing granite
Faithful to the flowing and organic lines which are the trademark of her architectural
works, Zaha Hadid is the author of this system of shelves in black granite built out of
a single block, whose solidity seems to merge into a dynamic flight of interlacing and
elongated curves.

Fidèle aux lignes fluides et organiques, marque de fabrique de ses architectures,
Zaha Hadid est l’auteur de ce système d’étagères en granit noir construit d’un seul bloc,
dont la solidité semble se dissiper dans un envol dynamique d’entrelacs et de courbes
allongées.
E-motions
At the heart of Lasvit’s E-motions collection, this lamp,
which describes the exact moment molten glass escapes
from the mould, is like a surprise suspended in time. The
fusion of the delicate and the raw, of blown crystal and
the structure in beech with its iron fasteners: a strong
image, which befits this innovative and very arty Czech

Privacy
“A space all to oneself to write, work, dream and, above all, where
you can allow yourself the luxury of being messy”. The objective of
the Italian designer Emanuele Magini has been achieved with this
airy cocoon: once inside, the rest of the world disappears.
This office on wheels is transformable: its two elements turn with
just one movement to change the opening angle.
E-motions
Au cœur de la collection E-motions de Lasvit, la surprise
d’un temps suspendu, avec ce luminaire qui dessine le
moment précis où le verre fondu s’échappe du moule.
La fusion du délicat et du brut, du cristal soufflé et de la
structure en hêtre avec ses attaches en fer : une image
forte, à l’aune de cette manufacture tchèque innovante
et très arty. Design de Jan Plechat et Henry Wielgus.
Privatissime
« Un espace tout à soi pour écrire, travailler, rêver et surtout se
permettre le luxe du désordre », l’objectif du designer italien
Emanuele Magini est atteint avec ce cocon aéré qui, une fois à
l’intérieur, fait disparaître le monde. Ce bureau sur roulettes est
transformable : ses deux coques tournent d’un seul geste pour
changer l’angle d’ouverture.

Winner of the international Edida prize 2014 and European
leader in upholstery, Kvadrat presents the 56 colours of
Divina, its emblematic soft, comfortable and hard-wearing
felt, through pieces by 22 designers, including this much
commented on day bed by Muller Van Severen.

Spotlight on Hermès
The luxury Parisian saddler has opened its door to the full moon with its first series of lamps. Shining
with nobility, this work lamp was created by Michele De Lucchi. Its body is formed out of an articulated
stem and arm, the base serves as a tidy and even the wires are sheathed in leather.

Le luxueux sellier parisien ouvre sa porte aux nuits de pleine lune avec sa première série de luminaires.
Eclairée de noblesse, cette lampe de travail est signée Michele De Lucchi. Tige et bras articulé dessinent
son corps, le socle se fait vide-poche et même les câbles sont gainés de cuir.

Light nomadism
No need to carry it or push it. This table/desk in solid oak is lightness itself thanks to its
auxiliary plane equipped with a large wheel that moves 360°, changing the furniture’s
appearance depending on whether it is at an angle or in line in relation to the main table
top. A promising talent, the Russian Lera Moiseeva is responsible for this piece available in
natural or painted wood.

Inutile de la porter ou de la pousser. Cette table-bureau en chêne massif se fait légère,
grâce à son plan auxiliaire équipé d’une large roue qui bouge à 360°, en métamorphosant

Carrare flirte avec le cuivre en offrant le livre ou la
tablette à portée de main. Folle d’authenticité et de
durabilité, la sensiblité du créateur allemand Sebastian
Herkner sublime la beauté des matières dans des
formes très pures mais riches de détails exquis, comme
le sommet de la colonne, légèrement convexe.

Infinitely adjustable, this table is composed
of 20 lacquered beech logs, 38 cm high, all
held together by magnets. A highly original
creation by the Belgian designer Raphaël
Charles.
Slow down
Rebelling against the furious pace of mass production, this
suspended ceiling light by Danny Fang combines papier-mâché
and lacquered paper pulp. It comes in various colours: almond
green, blue, grey and white; and in three sizes: small, medium and
giant, with a diameter and a height of 75 cm. Frosted diffuser.

En rébellion contre le rythme effréné de la production de masse,
cette suspension signée Danny Fang combine papier mâché et pulpe
de papier laqué, qui décline l’objet en diverses couleurs : vert amande,

of Droog Design in the 1990s, Aldo
Bakker has made a name for himself
thanks to the sensual fluidity of his
creations, such as the luxurious table
sculptures in mirror polished stainless
composed of a water jug, a saltcellar and
a sugar bowl. A pourer and an oil “pipe”
in black matt steel complete the set.
