Nantes School of Art at the heart of the Quartier de la Création on the Isle of Nantes in 2015. 10,000 meters square offered to
the 500 art students. Architecture by Franklin Azzi
The center of an important urban project on the Isle of Nantes, the Quartier de la Création (Creation
District), is based on twenty years of innovation and experimentation that have contributed to the
emergence of a new axis of development at the crossroads of culture, technology and economy.
Activities cover edition, digital creation, multimedia projects, communication, media, architecture,
design, scenic arts and visual arts, representing a wealth of talent at the service of territorial
development. The Quartier de la Création aims to encourage new forms of activity and contribute to the
emergence of a new type of growth, stemming from the encounter between artists, research workers,
students and business people who look beyond mere consumerism. This new dynamism will enrich the
international attractiveness of the Nantes metropolitan area. The door to the future will open on the Isle
of Nantes with:

International CONNEXIONs
Nantes School of Art is implementing an international policy that aims to enroll 30% of foreign students by the
year 2015 and allow every student to study abroad as part of the degree programs.
The first cycle encourages a semester of mobility at a partner school. The second cycle offers shorter stays
to accompany a personal artistic project, with the goal of producing works and presenting them in a foreign
contemporary art venue, such as the French Cultural Center at Phnom Penh, Cambodia, or the 21st Century
Museum in Tokyo, Japan.
