Journey to Nantes? and La Cité Nantes Events Center, in partnership with the international
agency Nantes Just Imagine [2] at IMEX [3], one of the two major annual international meeting
events that brought together no less than 3500 exhibitors for its 10th Edition from 22 to 24
May in Frankfurt.
Accessibility, diversity of offers, proximity of host venues ? The assets of Nantes, the
destination to attract professionals of business tourism and conferences not to be
missed. However, the regional capital of Pays de la Loire is distinguished primarily for its
cultural dynamism. ?The artistic path of ?A Journey to Nantes?, the cultural site of the
Machines sur l?île de Nantes as a large open park in the city; the castle and its museum, give

New customers
The project ?A Journey to Nantes? 2012 [6] brings new customers who have heard of the
Carrousel des Mondes Marins, the Estuaire Journey, du nid (the nest) of the Tour de
Bretagne and the enriched hotel offer. ?Nantes is a city that intrigues, there are lots of things
happening right now? observed a representative of another large French city.
Green Capital of Europe 2013
Nantes has also developed a solid reputation as an eco-responsible destination which
event organizer professionals have become very sensitive to. Exponantes is the first
exhibition centre in Europe to have obtained the certification ISO 14001, and La Cité Nantes
Events Center is ISO 9001 certified and the 1st French convention center to achieve AIPC
Quality Standards certification recognized [7]. European Green Capital 2013, in recognition
of its efforts in reducing emissions of greenhouse gases and the place given to sustainable
public transport, the city will also host the World Congress of Green Roofs [8] in La Cité
Nantes Events Center [9] in September 2013.

After the Lawyers Congress which hosted 3,000 people and that of planetary science [12],
which brought together over 1,500 participants in 2011, the attractiveness of this destination
continues unabated with Nantes hosting the reception of 300 representatives of French
