Description
WHY ARCHITECTURE
WHY, a Brussels-based studio founded by Yannick Denayer,
focuses on architecture, urban planning and design.
The studio is especially interested in a wide range of
experiences with type, scale and location; this allows it to
challenge pre-conceived ideas and codes in every one of its
projects.
While working within a project's particular constraints and site
specificities, WHY seeks to expand the original commission, to
incorporate an investigation of contemporary society's ceaseless
evolution in terms of how we interact, live in spaces, relax,
learn, work and consume.
Our design methodology is the result of a collective effort by
the studio's staff.
To expand our perspective and our expertise, the project team
regularly calls on outside architects, engineers, designers and
consultants.
