Les activités optionnelles suivantes sont proposées en marge du colloque :
- Croisière-dîner sur la Seine (le vendredi soir)
- Croisière sur la Seine sans dîner (vendredi soir également)
- Visite du musée des égouts de Paris (samedi vers 15h30 – horaire à confirmer)

Croisière-dîner sur la Seine : Si le nombre d’inscriptions est suffisant, nous
embarquerons sur le beau yatch ancien « Bretagne » fleuron de la flotte de la
société Les Bateaux Parisiens, visible sur

disposerons de ce bateau à titre privatif à partir de 19h30, et pour toute la soirée. La
croisière durera deux heures et demie. L’embarquement se fera au pied de la Tour
Eiffel. Le bateau traversera l’ensemble de la ville de Paris dans un sens puis dans
l’autre. Compte tenu de la saison, la croisière devrait être en partie diurne et en partie
nocturne. Depuis la Seine, on dispose d’une vue extraordinaire sur un grand nombre
de monuments parisiens, et notamment sur la tour Eiffel, le Palais Bourbon, le musée
d’Orsay, l’Institut de France, la Conciergerie, la Bibliothèque Nationale, Notre dame
de Paris, l’Hôtel de Ville, le Louvre, etc. La croisière s’effectuera à un rythme très
lent, qui nous permettra de profiter du paysage et du dîner. Un apéritif au champagne
et un dîner de qualité seront servis pendant le voyage.
Inscription à la croisière-dîner : 135 € (boissons comprises)
NB – Si le nombre d’inscriptions est insuffisant, la même croisière (même durée, repas de
qualité similaire) sera effectuée sur un bateau partagé avec d’autres touristes. Dans ce cas,
les jeans et les baskets sont interdits par la Compagnie des Bateaux parisiens.

Croisière sur la Seine : Il s’agit d’une croisière commentée d’une heure à bord de
l’un des bateaux de la société Les Bateaux Parisiens.

L’embarquement se fera au pied de la Tour Eiffel le vendredi vers 19 heures. Depuis
la Seine, on dispose d’une vue extraordinaire sur une très grande partie des grands
monuments parisiens, et notamment la tour Eiffel, le Palais Bourbon, le musée
d’Orsay, l’Institut de France, la Conciergerie, la Bibliothèque Nationale, Notre dame
de Paris, l’Hôtel de Ville, le Louvre, etc. Des audio-guides sont disponibles en treize
langues différentes.
Inscription : 10,50 €.
Visite du musée des égouts de Paris, le samedi 13 vers 15h30 (horaire à
confirmer) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Sewer_Museum: visite guidée en
anglais, en un ou deux groupes selon le nombre d’inscrits (éventuellement, un
groupe francophone si le nombre d’inscrits est suffisant). La visite dure environ 40
minutes et ne nécessite pas de tenue particulière, mais mieux vaut éviter les talons
hauts en raison de passage sur des grilles. Le musée des égouts de Paris est vieux
de plus d’un siècle puisque c’est en 1867 que les premiers visiteurs furent guidés
dans les égouts parisiens. Depuis cette date, il a connu un immense succès. La
particularité de ce musée est que la visite s’effectue réellement dans les égouts, et
notamment dans un site en exploitation, non dans un site reconstitué. On peut s’y
faire une idée précise de l’immensité du réseau d’égout, de leur fonctionnement, du
travail des égoutiers (les visites en français sont guidées par les égoutiers eux-
mêmes), des matériels utilisés pour l’entretien des égouts…

La participation ces activités nécessite une inscription (voir Bulletin d’inscription). Il n’est pas
possible de participer à la fois à la croisière-dîner et à la croisière simple (horaire similaire).

Cruise-dinner on the river Seine, Friday 12: offered on the condition that a
sufficient number of bookings are taken. We will dine aboard the yacht « Bretagne »,
the jewel of the Société des Bateaux Parisiens. It can be seen at:

booking (until midnight), passengers will board at the foot of the Eiffel Tower at 7.30
pm. The yacht will cruise through Paris, and then make the return trip. Given the time
of the year, the cruise will be partly by day and partly by night. From the river Seine,
one can enjoy fantastic views of a wide range of great Parisian monuments, not least
the Tour Eiffel, the Palais Bourbon (Parliament), the museum of Orsay, the Institut de
France, the Conciergerie, the Bibliothèque Nationale (National library), Notre-Dame,
the City Hall, the Louvre etc. The cruise will be undertaken at a slow pace, which will
allow us to enjoy both the cityscape and the food. Champagne and an excellent
dinner will be served during the course of the cruise. The cruise will take around two
and a half hours.
Registration for the cruise-dinner: 135 € (drinks included).
NB – If we receive an insufficient number of registrations, the same programme will
be offered on a cruise boat shared with other tourists. In this case, casual dress
(jeans and running shoes) will be forbidden.
Cruise on the river Seine, Friday 12: A one hour guided cruise on one of the
Société des Bateaux Parisiens’ boats. Boarding at the foot of the Eiffel Tower at 7
pm. From the river Seine, one can enjoy fantastic views of a wide range of great
Parisian monuments, not least the Tour Eiffel, the Palais Bourbon (Parliament), the
museum of Orsay, the Institut de France, the Conciergerie, the Bibliothèque
Nationale (National library), Notre-Dame, the City Hall, the Louvre etc. Audio-guides

Visit to the Paris Sewer Museum, Saturday 13: A guided tour in English in either
one or two groups, according to the number of participants. Taking place around
3:30pm (time to be confirmed), the tour(s) will last about 40 minutes. No special dress
is required, but wearing flat shoes is advisable because of some webbed flooring.
The sewer museum is more than one century old. It was in 1867 that the Paris
sewers received their first visitors. Since then, the sewers have had wide success as
a tourist attraction. The distinctiveness of this museum visit is that the tour is done in
a real sewer, and not in a reconstructed site. One gets a good idea of the vastness of
the network, of the way it functions, of how the sewer men work (visits in French are
guided by sewerage workers), and of the tools and boats they use(d) to keep the
