New procedures for Canadian students and international student living in Canada
who wish to study in France
As of July 11, 2011:
It is no longer required to have the online CampusFrance application completed before the visa application for students going to France
to study within the framework of an international university agreement.
What is changing:
Canadian students planning to go to France within the framework of a cooperation agreement between a French and a Canadian higher
education institution (exchange, cotutelle, joint/double degree) are no longer required to create an account on CampusFrance Canada
website and to complete the online CampusFrance application before applying for a visa for France.
They can directly apply for a visa at the visa office of the Consulate General of France of their region:
Students from Ontario and Manitoba: www.consulfrance-toronto.org/
Students from British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon and Northwest Territories: www.consulfrance-vancouver.org/
Students from Quebec, the Maritimes and Nunavut: www.consulfrance-montreal.org/
What is NOT changing:
Students who received a pre-registration for a program leading to a degree in a French establishment not part of any international
university agreement still have to create an account on www.canada.campusfrance.org and follow the CampusFrance online procedure
before applying for the visa.
Students who have applied through CampusFrance Canada for a pre-registration in a program leading to a degree in a French
establishment must confirm their « final choice » on their online file before applying for the visa.

As of November 15, 2011 :
CampusFrance online procedure will be removed from the website.
What is changing:
The CampusFrance online procedure is no longer required to be filled out before students apply for a visa (exchange students, cotutelle,
joint/double degree, individual students going to France for a program leading to a degree outside any international agreement).
Pre-registration applications for a program leading to a degree in a French establishment are no longer administered through the
CampusFrance online application system but according to the procedures required by each establishment and described on their
websites.
What is NOT changing:
CampusFrance Canada remains available for all those who wish to study in France. CampusFrance Canada provides information and
support for students with their project and is there to answer all their questions.

Nouvelles procédures pour les étudiants canadiens et étrangers résidant au Canada
qui souhaitent poursuivre des études en France
A partir du 11 juillet 2011 :
La procédure CampusFrance en ligne n’est plus exigée pour les étudiants qui partent en France dans le cadre d’une entente interuniversitaire.
Ce qui change :
Les étudiants canadiens qui partent en France dans le cadre d’une entente de coopération entre un établissement français et un
établissement canadien (échange, cotutelle, double diplôme) n’ont plus besoin de créer un compte sur le site de CampusFrance Canada
et d’accomplir la procédure CampusFrance en ligne avant d’effectuer leur demande de visa pour la France.
Ils peuvent directement s’adresser au service des visas du Consulat général de France dont ils dépendent pour accomplir les
formalités d’obtention de visa :
Etudiants de l’Ontario et du Manitoba : www.consulfrance-toronto.org/
Etudiants de Colombie-Britannique, de l’Alberta, du Yukon et des Territoires du Nord Ouest : www.consulfrance-vancouver.org/
Etudiants du Québec, des Provinces Maritimes et du Nunavut : www.consulfrance-montreal.org/
Ce qui ne change pas :
Les étudiants ayant obtenu une préinscription pour suivre un programme diplômant dans un établissement français en dehors de toute
entente inter-universitaire continuent à s’inscrire sur le site www.canada.campusfrance.org et à suivre la procédure CampusFrance
avant d’effectuer leur demande de visa.
Les étudiants ayant effectué, via l’Espace CampusFrance, une demande de préinscription pour un programme diplômant dans un
établissement français doivent valider leur « choix définitif » sur leur dossier CampusFrance en ligne avant d’effectuer leur demande de
visa.

A partir du 15 novembre 2011 :
La procédure CampusFrance en ligne disparaît complètement.
Ce qui change :
La procédure en ligne CampusFrance n’est plus exigée préalablement à toutes les demandes de visa pour études (étudiants en échange,
en cotutelle, en double diplôme, étudiants qui partent suivre un programme diplômant hors entente inter-universitaire).
Les demandes de préinscription pour un programme diplômant dans un établissement français ne s’effectuent plus via le système de
candidature en ligne CampusFrance mais selon les modalités exigées par chaque établissement français et décrites sur leurs sites.
Ce qui ne change pas :
CampusFrance Canada reste à la disposition de tous les étudiants désireux de poursuivre leur parcours en France pour les informer, les
accompagner dans leurs démarches et répondre à toutes leurs questions.
