CHATEAU LE SARTRE RED 2010
Wine area : Graves
Appellation : Pessac Léognan
The starting up of the vintage is rather late in spite of a beautiful and sunny month of May. June
was chaotic with weather cooler than usual, punctuated with rain; the development of all the
vines was slowed down. The following period is favorable to the vegetative cycle and the
accumulated delay is partially recovered. A beautiful sunny and dry summer will allow us to
obtain a grape harvest in an exemplary sanitary state with no needs for anti-decays. The grapes
have been picked up slowly thanks to a very beautiful summer end.

TASTED
May 2015. Intense deep colour here, still very youthful, with a black purple core. Intense nose here, very opulent with
roasted wood, some spicy notes and layers of dark fruit like cassis, blackberry, dark plum. Very nice freshness on the
palate here, we have a good density, really ripe inky dark black fruit but with a well-preserved freshness here, good levels
of acidity; plenty of fine tannin giving a good lift, good length. Very persistent on the palate with a fine combination of
that dark fruit and some of those woody notes like vanilla. Very long finish, still very youthful but yet in a polished style.
I would happily drink this today, but it doubtlessly has a potential for 10-15 years of evolution in a good cellar. Andreas

Gilbert & Gaillard
Dark-hued with purple-blue tints. Slightly reticent and heady nose of black fruits. Power forms the backbone on the palate
despite good quality tannins. Still austere and requiring more bottle time for full enjoyment. Downloads

Magnifiquement fruité et délicatement boisé, il offre une texture dense, une trame tannique solide et une bonne finale
fraîche et équilibrée. On ne doute pas de sa capacité à bien se conserver. Downloads

Rating: 90 Review by Robert Parker WA# 205 (Feb 2013) A sleeper of the vintage which displays loads of deep
raspberry fruit as well as some tobacco leaf, cedar wood and Christmas fruitcake. A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon
and 40% Merlot, this is an up-and-coming estate to keep an eye on. Downloads
