Students must add a second program, either a 42-credit major or a 30-credit minor, selected from any of a number of disciplines offered at the Telfer School of Management or at the faculties of Arts, Engineering, Science, Health Sciences or Social Sciences. The faculties of Science and Engineering also offer many majors and minors. However, these majors require 51 to 60 credits. Note that secondary school prerequisite courses may be required for the second program. Electives 24 or 36 credits (8 or 12 courses) The number of elective courses varies according to the second program: In the major option, students must take 24 electives (8 courses). In the minor option, students must take 36 electives (12 courses). Notes 1 Adjunct language course to a 3-credit discipline-specific course, taken in French by a non-native speaker. Emphasis on development of comprehension skills (listening and reading) while acquiring knowledge and expertise in the discipline. Examination questions in the discipline-specific course may be answered in either English or French; however, all tests and assignments in the language class must be done in French. 2 Adjunct language course to a 3-credit discipline-specific course, taken in French by a non-native speaker. Emphasis on development of comprehension skills (listening and reading) while acquiring knowledge and expertise in the discipline. Refinement of linguistic competence through the study of relevant models of academic speech and debate.
