Dear Ms Julie Goffin1
Here is lawyer Nguyen Van Dai from Vietnam. I was released on March 6th, 2011 after four
years in prison. I still have been for four years more under house arrest.
I write this letter to say thank you and UIA for your support. I know that after I was arrested,
you and UIA raised your voice in defence of me. Once again, from the bottom of my heart I
thank you and UIA. And I hope that you and UIA continue to raise your voice to protect me
and other lawyers in our struggle for freedom, democracy and human rights in Vietnam.
Please present my thanks to other members of UIA.
