The light is on next door, and through the night you can see without
being seen...
The brave audience approaches to observe living shadows behind the
windows, those of the resident.
But what you believe to be their real shadows are in fact moving images,
projections skilfully enhanced by graphic artists.
Beware of the everyday’s appearances, behind a women may hide a
dragon and emotions can grow from inside to outside.
Suddenly, characters materialize in the street. The curious witness
becomes an accomplice. You wanted to know who they were, you will be
part of what they'll become.
Multidisciplinary show
Whether you're a child or a grandpa,
A believer or an agnostic,
A hipster or a has-been,
Whether we live under a bridge or under a roof,
We all fall in love.
We argue.
Sometimes we forgive.
One day we will lose the loved ones, and, often, we're left alone with the
goodbyes.
"The neighbours!" has fun with the brevity of life and those inevitable
crossroads we encounter one after another. At the rhythm of the music,
halfway between moving images and live action that blend seamlessly,
characters tell their stories without a word, and 30 minutes later, it already
time to say goodbye.
Musicians, plastic artists, designers, image technicians, graphic artists,
sound designers, and actors merge their disciplines to give you a show
that they choreographed with humour and tenderness.
They settle in your neighbourhood, maybe even in your home to create a
breath of fresh air in your city.
Technical installation
Designed for an easy installation, this show offers the dramatic effect of
monumental projection with a minimum footprint. Two short throw
projectors are installed inside the building ( in rear projection). The moving
images are visible on a trans-lucid film screen directly applied onto the
window's glass.
A box wth a front door is installed on the side walk and serves as a smart
wing for the actors.
The Team, three actors and one technician, is completely autonomous and
operational in 4 hours and 1 hour is enough to disassemble the whole
installation.
"Les Voisins" can also transform bay windows into houses or build their
own world in an open space thanks to their small circus tents.
