PRESS RELEASE
The Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission warns the public against
the activities of Crown-Euro Trust Investment Bank, a company which claims
on its web site that its registered office is located in Hasselt (Belgium), but the
address mentioned is fictitious.
Crown-Euro Trust Investment Bank is not authorized as a credit institution in
Belgium. It does not have the authorizations required to provide banking
services in or from within Belgium or to use the term "bank". The Commission
advises the public against conducting business with that company and
especially against transferring any money to the representatives of that
purported bank.

La Commission bancaire, financière et des assurances met en garde le public
contre les activités de la société Crown-Euro Trust Investment Bank qui
prétend, sur son site Internet, que son siège se trouve à Hasselt (Belgique)
mais indique à ce propos une adresse fictive.
Crown-Euro Trust Investment Bank n'est pas agréée comme établissement
de crédit en Belgique. Elle ne dispose pas des autorisations requises pour
offrir des services bancaires en Belgique ou au départ de la Belgique, ni pour
utiliser le terme "banque". La Commission déconseille au public de traiter
avec cette société et surtout d’effectuer tout versement aux représentants de
cette prétendue banque.
Les personnes qui souhaitent obtenir des informations complémentaires sur la
régularité des opérations qui leur sont proposées, sont invitées à consulter la
rubrique "La page de l'épargnant" sur le site web de la Commission

De Commissie voor het Bank-, Financie- en Assurantiewezen waarschuwt het
publiek voor de activiteiten van de vennootschap Crown-Euro Trust
Investment Bank die op haar website beweert haar hoofdkantoor te hebben in
Hasselt (België), maar een fictief adres opgeeft.
Crown-Euro Trust Investment Bank beschikt in België niet over een
vergunning als kredietinstelling. Zij heeft niet de vereiste toelatingen om in of
vanuit België bankdiensten aan te bieden of gebruik te maken van de term
"bank". De Commissie raadt het publiek dan ook af om met die vennootschap
te handelen en vooral om geld te storten aan vertegenwoordigers van die
zogenaamde “bank”.
