L'autre Châteauneuf de la maison ! Les Sinards est en général issu principalement
des jeunes vignes de Beaucastel ainsi que d'une vigne en fermage située à
proximité. Essentiellement composé de Grenache, il développe toute la classe de
Châteauneuf.
LE MILLÉSIME
Le millésime 2011 est un millésime de contraste. Printemps très chaud et sec, début juillet
pluvieux puis été indien jusqu'à fin octobre. Un tri très important, notamment après
égrappage a permis la réalisation d'un très beau millésime, notamment pour les cépages
tardifs.
DESCRIPTION
L'autre Châteauneuf de la maison ! Les Sinards est en général issu des jeunes vignes de
Beaucastel ainsi que d'une vigne en fermage située à proximité.
SITUATION
Vin issu des jeunes vignes de Beaucastel et d'une vigne en fermage de 7 hectares à l'Ouest de
Beaucastel, sur la commune d'Orange.
TERROIR
Molasse marine du miocène recouvert par un diluvium alpin (cailloux roulés).
ELABORATION
En partie vinifié selon le procédé propre à Beaucastel, et le solde, de manière traditionnelle
après égrappage.
100% en foudres pendant 1 an. Mise en bouteille après collage et filtration légère.
CÉPAGES
Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah
DÉGUSTATION
Aspect : robe d'un beau rubis profond
Nez: intense de fruits noirs et rouges, épices et poivre.
Bouche: souple et fraîche aux tanins fins et serrés, avec une belle finale sur la griotte. Vin
souple, tendre et parfumé.
SERVICE
15°C dans de grands verres, sur une cuisine de gibiers, truffes et champignons.

The wine stood out among the 2011s we tasted for its vibrancy. It hits all the marks-earth,
stone, herb and savory red fruit, held taut with a combination of bright acidity and sinewy
tannins. It’s ready now, if you have an herbed pork loin coming out of the over.

Both 2009 and 2010 were terrific years in the southern Rhône, so I was prepared to see a
major drop-off in quality in 2011. Well, as I continue to taste releases from this vintage, I’m

garrigue, licorice and kirsch. It can be drunk over the next 6-7 years.
