Français 200 : les cartes de verbes (verb flashcards)
This year, you will be making flashcards so you can practice the conjugations of

a. Create one flashcard for each verb that uses être in the passé composé.
The infinitive will be on the front, and the meaning will be on the back.
There is no need to write the 6 present tense forms, since these are either
fairly regular verbs, or they are verbs you will not need to know in the
present tense. (You’ve already made one for aller & venir, so find those
now!)
b. Add the past participle—with the potential (e)(s)--to the top right on the
back of each card, and write être underneath it, to remind you that these
verbs use être in the passé composé.
5. Chapitre 4: recevoir, suivre, ouvrir. Make a verb flashcard for each of these verbs.
Include the infinitive on the front, and on the back you will write the meaning, the
six present tense forms and the past participle.
6. Chapitre 5: Les verbes réfléchis.
se réveiller
se lever*
se sécher*
se brosser
s’habiller
se maquiller
se laver
se raser
se peigner
se préparer
s’en aller
se dépêcher
s'appeler*
s’ennuyer*
s’occuper de
se déshabiller
se mettre en pyjama/au lit
se coucher
s’endormir
* Pay attention to accent changes in these BOOT verbs.
a. Make a flashcard for each verb. (Infinitive on the front, meaning and 6
present tense forms on the back.)
b. In the upper right on the back, write all 6 passé composé forms of the verb.
7. Chapitre 6: L’imparfait. On all flashcards, beneath the past participles, write all 6
imparfait forms of each verb.
Keep these cards for next year! They’ll be useful for
review, and we’ll add more tenses to them!
