Artist Biography :
Hermann Seeger was a German Post-Impressionist painter and engraver of genre scenes and coastal views. He
received his artistic education at the Academy of Berlin from renowned painters Paul Thumann and also from Karl
Gussow until 1885. He is renowned for painting girls on the dunes of the North Sea, depicting his own daughters
Hildegard and Ilse as his models.
