Seva Canada’s mission is to restore sight and prevent blindness

Since 1982, Seva Canada has helped communities develop their
own capacity to deliver affordable eye care services. Seva provides
funding and expertise to partners in Nepal, Tibet, India, Guatemala,
Cambodia, Egypt, Tanzania and throughout eastern Africa to create sight
programs that are locally managed, high volume, low cost, directed to
those most in need, accessible to women and girls and sustainable.
Sustainability is achieved in economic terms by charging fees for service
when possible and in human resource terms by training local eye care
professionals of all level thereby eliminating reliance on eye care providers
from the developed world.
