Recently remarkable formulae have been discovered by Cachazo, He and Yuan that give
extremely simple formulae for tree amplitudes in all kinds of theories including Gravity
and Yang-Mills. I will explain how these arise out of a string theory in ambitwistor space
and some recent developments of the ideas.
