1. BESCHRIJVING
De telefoon 10-501 van het gamma Toegangscontrole Standaard is uitgerust met 1 functietoets.
De telefoon biedt de mogelijkheid een slot en het licht te bedienen. Tevens kan het volume
van het belsignaal geregeld of uitgeschakeld worden.
2. Montage
Controleer of de volgende componenten aanwezig zijn:
•telefoondoos met hoorn
•schroef om het front van de telefoondoos vast te maken aan de basis (deze schroef zit
in de telefoondoos samen met een afwerkingsdopje zodat deze schroef onzichtbaar is).
Welke kabels zijn nodig?
In geval van renovatie gebruikt u de bestaande kabel. Controleer de sectie voor de max.
afstand (zie technische catalogus).
Niko raadt het volgende aan:
- JYSTY(-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0,8mm (afstand voeding tot binnenpost of buitenpost max. 250m).
- TVVF(-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0,8mm (afstand voeding tot binnenpost of buitenpost max. 250m).
- TPVF min. 3 x 2 x 0,6mm (afstand voeding tot binnenpost of buitenpost max. 150m).
- UTP / FTP / STP 4 x 2 x 0,5mm (afstand voeding tot binnenpost of buitenpost max. 100m).
Deze kabel loopt van de binnenpost naar de voeding.
Opmerking: Bij de kabel wordt slechts 1 van de 3 voorziene paren gebruikt. Indien er een paar
beschadigd wordt of u wenst over te stappen op videofonie zijn er dus 2 reserveparen.
Montage
Maak het front van de binnenpost los van de basis (fig.5a).

Monteer de basis van de binnenpost op de gewenste hoogte op een wand d.m.v. de daarvoor
voorziene montagegaten (fig.2).

Sluit twee draden van de kabel aan op de klemmen a en b van de binnenpost (tip: gebruik
dezelfde kleurencode voor a en b als bij de buitenpost).
De andere kant van de kabel dient aangesloten te worden op de klemmen a en b van de
voedingsmodule. Gebruik hiervoor dezelfde twee draden als bij de binnenpost.
Sluit de connector van het front aan op de daarvoor voorziene klem aan de basis van de
binnenpost (fig.3).

Klik het front van de binnenpost opnieuw op de basis (fig.1b) en schroef het erop vast met
de bijgeleverde schroef, druk vervolgens het afwerkingsdopje op de schroef zodat ze weggewerkt is. Klik het snoer van de hoorn in de daarvoor voorziene aansluiting.

Optioneel kan een etagebeldrukknop (05-540) op de connector van de binnenpost aangesloten
worden. Gebruik hiervoor de klemmen E en P.
Let wel op dat u het lampje uit de beldrukknop verwijdert. Het lampje verbruikt anders
continu stroom, met als gevolg dat u niet meer kan bellen.

-Als de installatie correct is uitgevoerd, dan zal de LED op de voedingsmodule (10-801 of
10-802) oplichten als de installatie op het net wordt aangesloten. Ook aan de buitenpost
licht de LED op, zodat de vandaalbestendige naamplaat verlicht wordt. U kan nu met de
bezoeker communiceren door de hoorn af te haken. De communicatie wordt verbroken
door in te haken of automatisch na 60s. Het slot kan te allen tijde worden geopend door op
de blauwe functietoets 1 te drukken (fig.5). Op de voedingsmodule is de bekrachtigingduur
van de sloten instelbaar van 0,8 tot 8s. (zie handleiding voedingsmodule).
-Als de oproep effectief naar het toestel wordt doorgeschakeld, dan zal de telefoon eenmaal
rinkelen op de ingestelde toon (zie ‘Mogelijke instellingen’) en zal de groene LED op de
binnenpost oplichten. Als de hoorn wordt opgenomen, dan kan met de bezoeker worden
gecommuniceerd (gedurende 60s.). Het gesprek wordt beëindigd door gewoon in te
haken of automatisch na 60s. De groene LED zal bij het beëindigen van het gesprek ook
doven.
-De deurpost kan worden geactiveerd zonder dat er is aangebeld, door de hoorn op te
nemen. Luidspreker en microfoon worden geactiveerd en ook de groene LED gaat oplichten.
De communicatie wordt gedeactiveerd als opnieuw wordt ingehaakt of automatisch na
60s.

Let op: Als 1 binnenpost is afgehaakt en vervolgens wordt ook de tweede binnenpost
afgehaakt, zal er via deze tweede binnenpost geen spraakverbinding mogelijk zijn. De lijn is
immers in gebruik door de eerste binnenpost. Het bezetsignaal wordt op de tweede binnenpost
weergegeven door de groene LED drie keer te laten knipperen. Vervolgens blijft de groene
LED gedoofd. Om toch een spraakverbinding te genereren met de tweede binnenpost moet
de verbinding van de eerste binnenpost verbroken worden en moet de tweede binnenpost
eerst worden ingehaakt en vervolgens opnieuw afgehaakt.
Deuropenertoets
U kan het slot op elk moment openen door op functietoets 1 te drukken.
Met deze toets kan u ook het lichtschakelrelais bedienen (zie ‘MOGELIJKE
INSTELLINGEN’)

MOGELIJKE INSTELLINGEN
De beltoon op de binnenpost uitschakelen
Schakel de beltoon op de binnenpost uit door de keuzeschakelaar (A fig.5) aan
de zijkant van de binnenpost in stand te zetten. De rode indicatie-LED op de
binnenpost licht blijvend op.
Het volume van de beltoon wijzigen
U kan het volume van de beltoon op de binnenpost trappenloos regelen met de
schuifschakelaar (B fig.5) op de zijkant van de binnenpost.

Voor de binnenpost kan u kiezen uit zes verschillende beltonen. Om een andere beltoon
in te stellen, gaat u als volgt te werk:
Zet de keuzeschakelaar (A fig.5) op ‘uit’ en onmiddellijk terug op ‘aan’. Druk kort op de
blauwe knop 1. De rode en de groene LED lichten op. Druk nogmaals op de blauwe knop
1 om de eerste beltoon te beluisteren. Druk op de blauwe knop om de volgende beltoon
te beluisteren. Om de gewenste beltoon te selecteren, volstaat het te wachten totdat
beide LED’s doven (± 8s). De laatst gehoorde beltoon is opgeslagen.

Etagebeldrukknop aansluiten en beltoon wijzigen
Optioneel kan u een etagebeldrukknop (een drukknop met N.O.-contact bv. 05-540) op
de connector van de binnenpost aansluiten. Gebruik hiervoor klemmen E en P van de
schroefconnector (fig.6).
Opmerking: verwijder het lampje uit de etagebeldrukknop om te vermijden dat de beldrukknop continu stroom verbruikt.
Voor de binnenpost kan u kiezen uit 6 verschillende beltonen. Zet de keuzeschakelaar (A
fig.5) op ‘uit’ en onmiddellijk terug op ‘aan’ om een andere beltoon in te stellen. Druk kort
op de blauwe functietoets 1. De rode en de groene LED lichten op. Zet keuzeschakelaar
(A fig.5) terug op ‘uit’. Druk nogmaals op de blauwe functietoets om de eerste beltoon te
beluisteren. Met elke nieuwe druk op de blauwe functietoets 1 hoort u de volgende beltoon.
Als beide LED’s doven (na ±8s.) is de laatst gehoorde beltoon opgeslagen.

Lichtschakelaars bedienen vanop de binnenposten
Wenst u met de 10-501 ook gebruik te maken van het relais dat op de voedingsmodule zit,
dient u deze voeding te programmeren. De programmering wordt uitvoerig beschreven in de
handleiding van de betreffende voeding. De werking ervan zal als volgt zijn:
Indien de hoorn ingehaakt is, schakelt functietoets 1 het lichtpunt.
Indien de hoorn afgehaakt is, schakelt functietoets 1 de deuropener.
In parallel plaatsen van (max.) twee binnenposten op één beldrukknop.
Het is bij alle buitenposten mogelijk (behalve voor de opbouwbuitenposten 16mm) om
twee binnenposten manueel parallel te plaatsen op één beldrukknop. De programmering
die hiervoor nodig is, vindt u in de handleiding van de gebruikte voeding. Indien u ook de
etagebeldrukknop parallel wenst te gebruiken, sluit u die aan zoals in fig.6.

Via het servicetoestel (10-870) kan u binnenposten parallel laten functioneren volgens het
Master-Slave-principe (zie handleiding 10-870).
4. Onderhoud van het product
Aan de hand van onderstaande onderhoudstips willen wij vermijden dat het oppervlak
van deze producten door verkeerde behandeling beschadigd wordt. Beschadiging door
verkeerde behandeling valt niet onder de garantie.
Onderhoudstips
-Het volstaat de producten te reinigen met wat zeep en een vochtige doek.
-Absoluut af te raden is het gebruik van:
-schurende sponzen of schurende reinigingsmiddelen
-onderhoudsmiddelen die een oplosmiddel of een zuur bevatten of schoonmaakmiddelen met azijnzuur
-een hogedrukreiniger.

6. WETTELIJKE WAARSCHUWINGEN
-De installatie dient te worden uitgevoerd door een bevoegd persoon en met inachtname
van de geldende voorschriften.
-Deze handleiding dient aan de gebruiker te worden overhandigd. Zij moet bij het dossier van de
elektrische installatie worden gevoegd en dient te worden overgedragen aan eventuele nieuwe
eigenaars. Bijkomende exemplaren zijn verkrijgbaar via de Niko-website of -supportdienst.
-Bij de installatie dient rekening gehouden te worden met (lijst is niet limitatief):
-de geldende wetten, normen en reglementen;
-de stand van de techniek op het ogenblik van de installatie;
-het feit dat een handleiding alleen algemene bepalingen vermeldt en dient gelezen te
worden binnen het kader van elke specifieke installatie;
-de regels van goed vakmanschap.
-Bij twijfel kan u de supportdienst van Niko raadplegen of contact opnemen met een
erkend controleorganisme.

een duidelijke omschrijving van uw klacht (manier van gebruik, vastgestelde afwijking…).

7. GARANTIEBEPALINGEN
-Garantietermijn: twee jaar vanaf leveringsdatum. Als leveringsdatum geldt de factuurdatum
van aankoop van het goed door de consument. Indien geen factuur voorhanden is, geldt
de productiedatum.
-De consument is verplicht Niko schriftelijk over het gebrek aan overeenstemming te
informeren, uiterlijk binnen de twee maanden na vaststelling.
-In geval van een gebrek aan overeenstemming van het goed heeft de consument recht
op een kosteloze herstelling of vervanging, wat door Niko bepaald wordt.
-Niko is niet verantwoordelijk voor een gebrek of schade als gevolg van een foutieve
installatie, oneigenlijk of onachtzaam gebruik of verkeerde bediening of transformatie
van het goed.
-De dwingende bepalingen van de nationale wetgevingen betreffende de verkoop van
consumptiegoederen en de bescherming van de consumenten van de landen waarin Niko
rechtstreeks of via zuster/dochtervennootschappen, filialen, distributeurs, agenten of
vaste vertegenwoordigers verkoopt, hebben voorrang op bovenstaande bepalingen.

Lisez entièrement le mode d’emploi avant toute installation et mise en service.
1. Description
Le téléphone 10-501 de la gamme Contrôle d’Accès Standard est équipé de 1 touche de
fonction. Le téléphone offre la possibilité de commander une gâche et d’allumer l’éclairage.
En outre, le volume du signal d’appel peut être réglé ou coupé.
2. Montage
Contrôlez si les éléments suivants sont présents:
•boîtier de téléphone avec combiné
•vis de fixation de l’avant du boîtier de téléphone à la base (cette vis se trouve dans le
boîtier du téléphone, accompagnée d’un capuchon de finition qui sert à la dissimuler).
Quels câbles sont nécessaires?
Niko vous conseille les modèles suivants:
- JYSTY(-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0,8mm (distance de l’alimentation jusqu’au poste intérieur ou
extérieur max. 250m).
- TVVF(-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0,8mm (distance de l’alimentation jusqu’au poste intérieur ou
extérieur max. 250m).
- TPVF min. 3 x 2 x 0,6mm (distance de l’alimentation jusqu’au poste intérieur ou
extérieur max. 150m).
- UTP / FTP / STP 4 x 2 x 0,5mm (distance de l’alimentation jusqu’au poste intérieur
ou extérieur max. 100m).
Ce câble raccorde le poste intérieur à l’alimentation.
Remarque: Dans le câble, seule 1 des 3 paires prévues est utilisée. Si une des paires
devait être endommagée ou si vous souhaitez passer à la vidéophonie, vous disposez donc
de 2 paires de réserve.
Montage
Détachez l’avant du poste intérieur de la base (fig.5a).

Montez la base du poste intérieur sur un mur à la hauteur désirée à l’aide des trous de
montage prévus à cet effet (fig.2).

Raccordez deux fils du câble aux bornes a et b du poste intérieur (astuce: utilisez le même
code de couleurs pour a et b que pour le poste extérieur).
L’autre côté du câble doit être raccordé aux bornes a et b du module d’alimentation. Utilisez
pour ce faire les mêmes deux fils que pour le poste intérieur.
Raccordez le connecteur de l’avant sur la borne prévue à cet effet à la base du poste
intérieur (fig.3).

Encliquetez de nouveau l’avant du poste intérieur sur la base (fig.1b) et vissez-le à l’aide de
la vis fournie; poussez ensuite le capuchon de finition sur la vis afin de la rendre invisible.
Insérez le cordon du combiné dans la connexion prévue à cet effet.

En option, un bouton de sonnerie d’étage (05-540) peut être raccordé sur le connecteur
du poste intérieur. Utilisez pour ce faire les bornes E et P.
Assurez-vous d’enlever la petite lampe du bouton de sonnerie. Sinon, la lampe consomme
de façon continue du courant, avec pour conséquence que vous ne pouvez plus sonner.

3. Fonctionnement et utilisation

-Si l’installation a été réalisée correctement, la LED sur le module d’alimentation (alimentation
20 ou alimentation 100) s’illuminera lorsque l’installation est connectée au réseau. Sur le
poste extérieur également, l’éclairage LED s’illumine, de façon à ce que le porte-étiquette
résistant au vandalisme soit éclairé. Vous pouvez maintenant communiquer avec le
visiteur en décrochant le combiné. La communication est interrompue en raccrochant ou
automatiquement après 60s. La gâche peut à tout moment être ouverte en enfonçant la
touche de fonction bleue 1 (fig.5). Sur le module d’alimentation, la durée de commande
d’ouverture des gâches est réglable entre 0,8 et 8s. (voir mode d’emploi du module
d’alimentation).
-Si l’appel est effectivement transféré vers l’appareil, le téléphone sonnera une fois avec la
tonalité réglée (voir ‘Réglages possibles’) et la LED verte s’illuminera sur le poste intérieur.
Si le combiné est décroché, vous pouvez communiquer avec le visiteur (pendant 60s).
La conversation est interrompue en raccrochant simplement ou automatiquement après
60s. A la fin de la conversation, la LED verte s’éteindra également.
-Le poste de rue peut être activé sans que l’on ne sonne, en décrochant le combiné. Hautparleur et microphone sont activés, et la LED verte s’illumine également. La communication
est désactivée lorsque vous raccrochez de nouveau, ou automatiquement après 60s.

Attention: Si 1 poste intérieur est décroché et que le deuxième poste intérieur est ensuite
également décroché, aucune liaison vocale ne sera possible via ce deuxième poste intérieur.
La ligne est en effet utilisée par le premier poste intérieur. Le signal occupé est indiqué sur
le deuxième poste intérieur par trois clignotements de la LED verte. Ensuite, la LED verte
reste éteinte. Pour pouvoir quand même générer une liaison vocale avec le deuxième poste
intérieur, la liaison du premier poste intérieur doit être interrompue et le deuxième poste
intérieur doit d’abord être raccroché puis de nouveau décroché.
Touche ouvre-porte
Vous pouvez à tout moment ouvrir la gâche en enfonçant la touche de
fonction 1. Grâce à cette touche, vous pouvez également commander le
relais d’éclairage (voir ‘REGLAGES POSSIBLES’).

REGLAGES POSSIBLES
Déconnexion de la tonalité sur le poste intérieur
Déconnectez la tonalité sur le poste intérieur en plaçant l’interrupteur sélectif (A
fig. 5) situé sur le côté du poste intérieur en position . La LED d'indication rouge
sur le poste intérieur s’illuminera et restera allumée.
Modification du volume de la tonalité
Le volume de la tonalité peut être réglé en continu sur le poste intérieur à l’aide de
l’interrupteur coulissant (B fig. 5) situé sur le côté du poste intérieur.
Modification de la tonalité du poste intérieur
Le poste intérieur vous offre le choix entre six tonalités différentes. Pour choisir une autre
tonalité, procédez comme suit:
Placez l’interrupteur sélectif (A fig. 5) sur ‘arrêt’ et remettez-le immédiatement sur ‘marche’.
Appuyez ensuite brièvement sur la touche bleue 1. Les LED rouge et verte s’allument. Appuyez
à nouveau sur la touche bleue 1 pour écouter la première tonalité. Appuyez sur la touche bleue
pour écouter la tonalité suivante. Pour sélectionner la tonalité souhaitée, il suffit d’attendre que
les deux LED s’éteignent (±8s.). La dernière tonalité écoutée est alors enregistrée.

Connexion d’un bouton de sonnerie d’étage et modification de la tonalité
En option, un bouton de sonnerie d’étage (un bouton-poussoir avec un contact N.O., p.ex.
05-540) peut être raccordé au connecteur du poste intérieur. Utilisez pour ce faire les
bornes E et P du connecteur à vis (fig. 6).
Remarque: retirez la lampe du bouton de sonnerie d’étage pour éviter que le bouton de
sonnerie ne consomme du courant de manière continue.
Le poste intérieur vous offre le choix entre 6 tonalités différentes. Placez l’interrupteur
sélectif (A fig. 5) sur ‘arrêt’ et remettez-le immédiatement sur ‘marche’ pour régler une
autre tonalité. Appuyez ensuite brièvement sur la touche de fonction bleue 1. Les LED
rouge et verte s’allument. Replacez l’interrupteur sélectif (A fig. 5) sur ‘arrêt’. Enfoncez de
nouveau la touche de fonction bleue pour écouter la première tonalité. A chaque nouvelle
pression sur la touche de fonction bleue 1, vous entendez la tonalité suivante. Lorsque les
deux LED s’éteignent (après ±8s.), la dernière tonalité écoutée est enregistrée.

Commande d’éclairage depuis les postes intérieurs
Si vous souhaitez, avec un 10-501, également utiliser le relais qui se trouve sur le module
d’alimentation, vous devez programmer ce module. La programmation en question est
expliquée de manière détaillée dans le mode d’emploi de l’alimentation concernée. Son
fonctionnement sera le suivant:
Si le combiné est raccroché, la touche de fonction 1 commande le luminaire.
Si le combiné est décroché, la touche de fonction 1 commande l’ouvre-porte.
Installation en parallèle de (max.) 2 postes intérieurs sur un bouton de sonnerie.
Tous les postes extérieurs (à l’exception de la série de postes en saillie 16mm) autorisent
l’installation en parallèle manuelle de deux postes intérieurs sur un seul bouton de sonnerie.
La programmation nécessaire pour ce faire est décrite dans le mode d’emploi de l’alimentation
utilisée. Si vous souhaitez utiliser également le bouton de sonnerie d’étage en parallèle, le
raccordement de celui-ci sera effectué comme fig.6:

Installation en parallèle de plusieurs postes intérieurs sur un bouton de sonnerie
Via l’appareil de service (10-870), vous pouvez faire fonctionner des postes intérieurs en
parallèle selon le principe Maître-Esclave (voir mode d’emploi 10-870).
4. Entretien du produit
Les conseils d’entretien ci-dessous visent à éviter que la surface de ces produits ne soit
endommagée par un traitement inadapté. Les dommages causés par un traitement inadapté ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.
Conseils d’entretien
-Le nettoyage des produits avec un linge humide et un peu de savon suffit.
-L’utilisation des produits suivants est absolument proscrite:
-éponges abrasives ou détergents abrasifs
-produits d’entretien contenant un solvant ou un acide ou à l’acide acétique
-nettoyeur haute pression.

-les lois, normes et réglementations en vigueur;
-l’état de la technique au moment de l’installation;
-ce mode d’emploi qui doit être lu dans le cadre de toute installation spécifique;
-les règles de l’art.

7. CONDITIONS DE GARANTIE
-Délai de garantie: 2 ans à partir de la date de livraison. La date de la facture d’achat

Read the complete manual before attempting installation and activating the system.
1. Description
The telephone 10-501 of the Access Control Standard range is equipped with 1 function
key. The telephone can be used to operate a lock and control the lighting. Additionally, the
volume of the ringing signal can be adjusted or deactivated.
2. INSTALLATION
Check whether the following components are provided:
-telephone box with receiver
-screw for securing the front of the telephone box to the base (this screw is contained
inside the telephone box together with a finishing cap to conceal the screw).
Which cables are required?
Niko advises the following:
-JYSTY(-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0,8mm (distance from power supply to internal or external unit
max. 250m).
-TVVF(-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0,8mm (distance from power supply to internal or external unit
max. 250m).
-TPVF min. 3 x 2 x 0,6mm (distance from power supply to internal or external unit max.
150m).
-UTP / FTP / STP 4 x 2 x 0,5mm (distance from power supply to internal or external unit
max. 100m).
This cable connects the internal unit with the power supply.
Remark: Only 1 of the 3 cable pairs provided is used. As a result, 2 spare pairs are available
if a pair is damaged or if you want to switch to videophony.
Installation
Detach the front of the internal unit from the base (fig.5a).

Mount the base of the internal unit on a wall at the desired height using the installation
holes provided for this purpose (fig.2).

Connect two wires of the cable to terminals a and b of the internal unit (tip: use the same
colour code for a and b as for the external unit).
Connect the other end of the cable to terminals a and b of the power supply module. Use
the same two wires as for the internal unit.
Connect the connector to the front using the terminal provided on the base of the internal
unit (fig.3).

Click the front of the internal unit back onto the base (fig.1b), screw it down using the screw
provided and then snap on the finishing cap to conceal the screw.
Click the receiver cord into the connector provided for this purpose.

Optionally a floor bell push-button (05-540) can be connected to the connector of the internal
unit. For this purpose, use terminals E and P.
Make sure, however, to remove the lamp from the bell push-button. Otherwise the
lamp will continuously draw power, so that after a while the bell will not work anymore.

-If the installation has been carried out correctly, the LED on the power supply module (power
supply 20 or power supply 100) will light up when the system is connected to the mains.
The LED on the external unit also lights up to illuminate the anti-vandal nameplate. You
can now communicate with your visitor by picking up the receiver. The communication is
interrupted by hanging up or automatically after 60s. The lock can be opened at all times
by pressing the blue function button 1 (fig.5). On the power supply module, you can set the
excitation duration of the locks from 0,8 to 8s. (see manual of power supply module).
-If the call is effectively transferred to the unit, the telephone will ring once at the set tone
(see ‘Possible settings’) and the green LED on the internal unit will light up. By picking up
the receiver you can communicate with your visitor (for 60s). The call is ended simply by
hanging up or automatically after 60s. The green LED will also extinguish when the call
is ended.
-The door unit can be activated without ringing the doorbell, by picking up the receiver.
Loudspeaker and microphone are activated and also the green LED lights up. The communication is deactivated when you hang up again or automatically after 60s.
Note: If 1 internal unit is off hook and the second internal unit also goes off hook, it will
not be possible to set up a voice connection via this second internal unit, as the line is

already being used by the first internal unit. On the second internal unit, the busy signal is
indicated by the green LED which will blink three times. The green LED then remains off.
If you nevertheless want to generate a voice connection with the second internal unit, you
must first interrupt the connection of the first internal unit and then hang up and pick up
again the receiver of the second internal unit.
Door open key
You can at any time open the lock by pressing function key 1. You can also control
the light switch key with this function key (see ‘POSSIBLE SETTINGS’)

POSSIBLE SETTINGS
Switching off the ring tone on the internal unit
Switch off the ring tone on the internal unit by switching the selector switch (A
fig.5) at the side of the internal unit in position. The red indication LED on the
internal unit lights constantly.
Modifying the volume of the ring tone
You can adjust the volume of the ring tone on the internal unit continuously by
means of the slide switch (B fig.5) at the side of the internal unit.
Modifying the ring tone of the internal unit
You can choose from 6 different ring tones for the internal unit. To set another ring tone,
proceed as follows:
Set the selector switch (A fig.5) to ‘OFF’ and immediately back to ‘ON’. Briefly press the
blue key 1. The red and green LEDs light. Press the blue key 1 once again to hear the
first ring tone. Press the blue key to hear the next ring tone.
To select the desired ring tone, simply wait for both LEDs to go out (±8s.). The last heard
ring tone is then saved.

Connecting a floor bell push button and modifying the ring tone
Optionally, you can connect a floor bell push button (push button with N.O. contact e.g.
05-540) to the connector of the internal unit. Use terminals ‘E’ and ‘P’ of the screw
connector (fig.6).

Note: remove the lamp from the floor bell push button in order to prevent the bell push
button from continuously using power.
You can choose from 6 different ring tones for the internal unit. Set the selector switch
(A fig.5) to ‘OFF’ and immediately back to ‘ON’ to select another ring tone. Briefly press
the blue function key 1. The red and green LEDs light. Set selector switch (A fig.5) back
to ‘OFF’. Press the blue function key once again in order to hear the first ring tone. With
each renewed press on the blue function key 1, you hear the next ring tone. If both LEDs
go out (after ±8s.), the last heard ring tone is set.

Controlling the light switch relay from the internal units
With a 10-501, if you also wish to use the relay provided on the power supply module, you
must first program it. The programming is described in detail in the manual of the relevant
power supply. The operation will be as follows:
If the receiver is on hook, function key 1 switches the light source.
If the receiver is off hook, function key 1 switches the door opener.
Connecting (max.) two internal units in parallel on one bell push-button.
All external units (except those of the series of surface mounting external units 16mm) allow two
internal units to be manually connected in parallel on one bell push-button. The programming
to be used for this purpose is described in the manual of the relevant power supply.
If also the floor bell push-button has to be used in parallel, it must be connected as follows:

Via the service set (10-870), internal units can function in parallel according to the masterslave principle (see user manual 10-870).
4. PRODUCT MAINTENANCE
By means of the following maintenance tips we want to ensure that the surfaces of these
products are not damaged by improper use. Damage by improper use is not covered by
the guarantee.
Maintenance tips
-It is sufficient to clean the products with soap and a damp cloth.
- You are strongly advised not to use any of the following:
-abrasive sponges or abrasive detergents
-maintenance products containing solvents or acids, or cleaning products containing
acetic acid
-high pressure cleaner.

7. GUARANTEE PROVISIONS
-Period of guarantee: 2 years from date of delivery. The delivery date is the invoice date
of purchase of the product by the consumer. If there is no invoice, the date of production
applies.
-The consumer is obliged to inform Niko in writing about the defect, within two months
after stating the defect.
-In case of a failure to conform, the consumer has the right to a repair or replacement
(decided by Niko) free of charge.
-Niko cannot be held liable for a defect or damage as a result of an incorrect installation,
improper or careless use or wrong usage or transformation of the goods.
-The compulsory regulations of the national legislation concerning the sales of consumer
goods and the protection of the consumers in the countries where Niko sells, directly or
