LOCATION: The accident took
place in the Indian Ocean off
Saint-Pierre, Reunion Island.
NARRATIVE: The boat sank
and apparently one man was
thought to have been taken by
a shark.

Au large de Saint-Pierre, avait été à l'origine du naufrage d'un "canot" avec trois marins à bord.
Deux avaient été récupérés : Elie Xavier et José Clain, un troisième, Ismaël Boulabhaï, était porté
disparu.
Au fur et à mesure que la nuit s'avançait, le "disparu" se rappelait l'histoire de ce plaisancier saintpierrois, Jean-Claude Doux, qui avait failli, au large de la Petite-Ile, se faire happer par un requin
qui avait attaqué son Zodiac et avait avalé plusieurs boudins de l'embarcation pneumatique, lui
revenait sans cesse à l'esprit comme une obsession dévorante !
Sinking of a "canoe"

Off Saint-Pierre, was behind the sinking of a "canoe" with three sailors on board. Both had been
recovered: Elijah Xavier and José Clain, a third Boulabhaï Ishmael, was missing.
Gradually, as the night wore on, the "disappeared" recalled the history of this Holy Pierrois boater,
Jean-Claude Doux, which had failed, off of Petite-Il, get caught by a shark that attacked his Zodiac
and had swallowed several strands of the inflatable boat, he kept coming to mind as a consuming
obsession!
