Building a sustainable future for music in the digital ecosystem cannot be done without
ensuring a fair remuneration for all stakeholders, especially creators, according to
French electronic music pioneer Jean Michel Jarre. In this session, Jarre – who is
President of CISAC, the global body for authors’ societies – will make the case for what
he calls an ‘ecological emergency’ and explain why creators need to mobilise if they too
want to benefit from the growth of the digital economy.
