Teaching notes
Write the English sentences on the board (Group A – higher ability / Group B – lower ability).
Cut up p.1 into 30 and p.2 into 24 individual squares, which will then be stuck into students’ books
in the correct order in Spanish, including the picture which best corresponds to the Spanish
phrase. Students could work in groups or individually (wholly dependent upon how much cutting
and sticking you want to do / you want them to do!). Alternatively print out as a whole sheet,
laminate both and then cut up and place sets of cards in an envelope for each group, so they can
be used again and again.
Group A
I am going to go skiing because it will be fantastic.
You (sing.) are going to play tennis because it will be excellent.
She is going to play ping pong, but it will be boring.
We are going to go horse riding, however it will be dangerous.
You (pl.) are going to go swimming and it will be super.
They are going to play badminton because it will be brilliant.
Group B
I am going to go skiing. It will be fantastic.
I am going to play tennis. It will be excellent.
I am going to play ping pong. It will be boring.
I am going to do horse riding. It will be dangerous.
I am going to do swimming. It will be super.
