Appel à candidatures OFFRE DE BOURSE (S) DU CEDEJ POUR ETUDIANT-­‐E-­‐S DE MASTER Le CEDEJ propose une bourse d’accueil ou un stage d’une durée d’un mois (renouvelable) pour un-­‐e étudiant-­‐e de Master 1 ou 2 souhaitant réaliser un mémoire en Egypte sur l’un des thèmes suivants : Thème 1: Sociologie électorale, géographie électorale en Egypte Le travail sera co-­‐supervisé par Hala Bayoumi, ingénieure de recherches au CNRS qui dirige le Pôle Humanités numériques et SIG. L’étudiant-­‐e bénéficiera des résultats du traitement des données électorales en Egypte pour les scrutins 2011 (élections présidentielles) et 2012 (élections législatives). Il/elle s’engage à co-­‐signer un article sur le sujet avec la responsable du Pôle Humanités numériques. Pour plus d’informations sur la méthodologie des données électorales au CEDEJ, consulter cette page : http://www.cedej-­‐eg.org/spip.php?rubrique165] Conditions -­‐ Il/elle devra avoir des connaissances sur le découpage administratif égyptien, ainsi que sur la sociologie électorale ou la géographie électorale, afin de commenter et interpréter les résultats mis à sa disposition, ou afin de retravailler les cartes. -­‐ Pour le/la candidat-­‐e en géographie, la maîtrise de l’outil cartographique (Adobe Illustrator) est requise. Pour d’autres précisions : halla.bayoumi@cedej-­‐eg.org Thème 2 : La santé en Egypte Plusieurs axes d’étude sont possibles, à choisir : l’accès aux médicaments ; la politique de distribution ; les marchés formel et informel des médicaments ; les génériques ; la santé maternelle et infantile ; l’obésité. Thème 3 : La gouvernance locale Au choix quatre sujets sont proposés : -­‐ Le droit des collectivités locales en Égypte en 2017: un état des lieux -­‐ Les collectivités locales dans le discours politique et médiatique. -­‐ Le rôle des partenaires sociaux (patronat, syndicats, chambres de commerce, etc.) dans les politiques locales. -­‐ La prise en compte des mobilisations collectives dans les politiques locales. >> Condition : une bonne maîtrise de l’arabe est indispensable Contact : clement.steuer@cedej-­‐eg.org Thème 4 : La ville ou l’économie urbaine Exemple de sujets possibles : -­‐ Les toits du Caire -­‐ Géo-­‐histoire des grands hôtels, reflet de l’histoire du Caire, de la politique et d’une mondialisation ; -­‐ Monographie d’un des centres commerciaux Toute autre proposition sera étudiée. Thème 5 : L’alimentation Différents thèmes sont envisageables : les subventions alimentaires ; l’alimentation et l’obésité ; le tabac ; l’étude d’une filière d’un produit de haute consommation quotidienne (blé-­‐farine ; huile ; sucre) ou la viande, le lait. Thème 6 : Economie criminelle/ le phénomène de rapt d’enfants en Egypte Le kidnapping des enfants revêt une ampleur nouvelle en Egypte depuis les bouleversements politiques de 2011. Ceux-­‐ci ont entraîné une dégradation de la situation socio-­‐économique, une hausse de la pauvreté mais aussi de l’insécurité, avec une instabilité des zones frontalières et le déploiement de réseaux criminels impliqués dans le trafic d’organes, d’armes, l’enlèvement et l’exploitation des migrants. Si certaines de ces activités criminelles sont assez évoquées, d’autres, à l’instar du trafic d’enfants, sont moins renseignées. Il s’agit de mener un travail sur ce thème, notamment auprès des institutions en charge de protection de l’enfance et surtout en étudiant les réseaux sociaux et la blogosphère égyptienne amplement mobilisés sur ce thème. >> Condition : une bonne maîtrise de l’arabe est indispensable Conditions générales -­‐ L’étudiant-­‐e en Master doit être inscrit-­‐e dans une université française, égyptienne ou étrangère dans une discipline des sciences humaines et sociales. -­‐ Il/elle s’engage à acquérir, avant son stage, des connaissances de base sur l’Egypte et sur le thème choisi. -­‐ L’étudiant-­‐e devra faire preuve de capacités d’adaptation, d’autonomie dans l’organisation de son travail et de qualités relationnelles pour s’insérer dans l’équipe du CEDEJ. The student will benefit from the analysis and results of the electoral data in Egypt for the 2011 elections (presidential elections) and 2012 (parliamentary elections). eg.org/spip.php?rubrique165 Conditions: -­‐ The student must have basic knowledge of the Egyptian administrative division, as well as a basic knowledge of electoral sociology and electoral geography to be able to comment and interpret the results made available, or to rework the maps. -­‐ For the candidate specialized in geography, mastery of the mapping tool (Adobe Illustrator) is required. Topic 3: Local governance Choose one the two areas of studies: -­‐ The right of local authorities in Egypt in 2017: overview -­‐ The local authorities in the political and media discourses -­‐ The role of social partners (employers, unions, chambers of trade) in the local policies -­‐ Considering the collective mobilizations in the local policies Condition: Good knowledge of Arabic is required Contact: clement.steuer@cedej-­‐eg.org Topic 4: The village or the urban economy Suggested areas of study: -­‐ The roofs of Cairo -­‐ Geohistory of major hotels, reflections on the history of Cairo, its politics and of globalization -­‐ A monograph of one of the malls All other proposed topics will also be considered. Topic 5: Nutrition Suggested areas of study: Food subsidies; nutrition and obesity; tobacco; the study of a specific sector with a daily high consumption of on these products : wheat flour, oil, sugar, meat or milk Topic 6: Criminal Economy / studying the phenomenon of child abduction in Egypt The rate of child abduction has taken on a new momentum in Egypt since the political upheavals of 2011. This has not only resulted in a deterioration of the socio-­‐economic situation and an increase in poverty but it has also caused more insecurity, which was caused by the instability of the borders, the deployment of criminal networks involved in organ trafficking, weapons, kidnapping and the exploitation of migrants. While some of these criminal activities fairly grabbed the public attention, others, like child trafficking are not as popular. More studies should be dedicated to this topic, particularly from child protection institutions especially by studying the social networks and the Egyptian blogosphere should be mobilized on this topic. Condition: good knowledge of Arabic is required Terms and conditions -­‐ The student must be enrolled in a Masters program in a French, Egyptian or a foreign university specialized in humanities and social sciences. -­‐ He / she is required to acquire basic knowledge on Egypt and on the chosen topic, before the internship. -­‐ The student will have to show a sense of adaptability, autonomy in organizing their work and good interpersonal skills to fit into the CEDEJ team.
