Série A Alex Chavot Specimen Série A Style: Design by: Format: Published: Extra Condensed Alex Chavot Opentype (428 glyphs) 2013 The basis for Série A was found in an old french foundry’s wood type specimen. It’s mechanical and rather straight forward shapes balanced with some subtle twists (“a”, “s”…) immediately attracted me. Although other styles existed, I choose to develop the extra-condensed one, which reminded me of Edward Wright’s titling for Whitechapel Art Gallery’s 1956 exhibition “This Is Tomorrow”.
