Concept
Since 2002, the Snow Avant Première has been gathering the whole snowboard world.
The event’s spirit is not only about snowboards testing; it’s a real special time to share with all the
market’s actors: shops, brands and media.
The purpose of the Snow Avant Première, which takes place in la Clusaz for 12 years now, is to allow
European and French retailers testing the “on snow” equipments. This event is useful in order to
present accessories, textile to the public. This special moment gives the opportunity for the brands,
thanks to the showroom installed under a Tent, to discover textile products, boots and accessories in
preview. The retailers can have a global vision of the market.
We welcome brands:
> On an outdoor space “tests village” located on the parking of Balme in La Clusaz. Exhibitors do have
to pay the exhibition tents. We are happy to provide you with tables if you need it.
> Under a 450 sq. tent located next to the “tests village”. We offer you an exhibition area with small
carpeted catwalks and wood walls covered with brushed cotton. These catwalks will allow you to
highlight and exhibit your 2016 flagship products. We leave it up to you to organize displays,
windows, dummies, etc. on the catwalks to make the tent attractive and showcase the products
displayed as best as possible.
This year the emphasis will be placed on improving the tents with regard to exhibitor and
bar/breakfast areas.
A relaxation area, where brands and retailers will be able to meet and exchange, will also be
available for you.

The resort
We choose la Clusaz as resort, first for their will to welcome us but especially for the ease of access
and accommodations and for the surface area (450m² are available for the exhibition place).
The situation: Parking of Balme, at the foot of the cable cars of Balme and Fernuy.
La Clusaz is a beautiful typical resort well known for the important changes in altitude and grounds,
for the free ride and the natural kickers’ backcountry but also for the freestyle hills (snow park
situated at 10 min of the Test Village, we put a snow park in place for the 3 days test, down to the
Balme).
It’s also easy to come to La Clusaz by plane (Geneva airport at 1h00) or by train (Annecy train station
at 30min)
Functioning
Test Village and the exhibition tent will be locked after during the night.
Tents village : Tests will take place from 9 am to 4.30 pm





Retailer’s invitations
Snow Avant Première invitations are sent to a data base of more than 2 180 French shops and 350
European shops divided between Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Benelux and United Kingdom. A shuttle
between Geneva and la Clusaz will still be on this year again.
We want to develop our European data base, for that we would like to work together with Brands
European headquarters in order to invite more and more retailers in each of these countries. If you

For retailers we propose some package that included the Hostel night (twin room), breakfast, Snow
Avant Première additional day, ski pass and lunch ticket.
This pack cost 130€ per person (note: 125 € only if the reservation is made before December the
20th 2015).
The retailers who only want to take a hostel night with breakfast will be charged 72€ (twin room)
fixed price only the 12 & 13 and 50€ for an extra day on the Snow Avant Première (accreditation,
skipass, lunch ticket).

Test rental software
Thanks to our new provider PUZZLE, we can manage the test flow (input-output analysis), and send
back information to the exhibitors.
This is how it works:
1. A month before Snow Avant Première, all exhibitors have to connect to Brand Manager
Application (brand.puzzle-system.com ) with login and password which will be provided,
then qualifying their products (boards, boots, bindings,etc.). This step is required to ensure
the proper functioning of the event.
2. A member of Sportair is dedicated to the pre-registration of the testers in order to check if
the shop is in our data base and if it buys snowboards from (at least) one of our exhibitors.
3. We print on a plastic badge the information regarding the retailers: name, surname, name of
the shop, zip code, etc… and provide a unique barcode.
4. Before riding the new boards, the retailers have to go the welcome desk; we will verify their
identity and give them their personal badge.
If they didn’t ask for it before, we can provide badge on site (after checking their identity).
5. As soon as he gets his badge, the retailer can rent a board at the booth of his favorite brand.
Just before leaving the village, someone from our staff will “bip” his badge and the barcode
on the board (we provide special barcode for the exhibitor’s boards).
6. When the retailer comes back, we just “scan” his board and he can choose another one
board to test.
This software allows us to issue statistics for our exhibitors such as how many boards have been
tested during the day (or during the event).
We also provide detailed statistics day by day to each of our exhibitor: Name, surname of the tester,
the shop name, all the boards he tested during the day.
All these information will be available on personal space of each exhibitor after each day on Brand
Manager App by downloading an excel listing.

1. The prices are for one booth for a brand, if the French distributor (or another one) already
participates to the event with your brand, you’ll be able to share the invoice or ask your
headquarter.
2. To take part in the event we ask 1000€ before November the 7st 2015.
