Concept
Since 2002, the Snow Avant Première has been gathering the whole snowboard world.
The event’ s spirit is not only about snowboards testing; it’s a real special time to share with all
the market’s actors: shops, brands and media.
In January 2010 the Snow Avant Première hosted 200 shops based in 4 countries; 2522 boards
(divided on 23 brands) have been tested during 3 days.
In 2009 we welcomed foreign dealers for the first time, which showed us that our event
matches perfectly with their expectations, as it matches with the French shops. Indeed our
European “Avant Première” proposes a real experience of discovering products.
We truly believe it’s a real opportunity to discover and test snowboards on snow before
taking orders.
Our idea was to focuse on the foreign retailers located near the boarders, as Italian,
Swiss, and also those based far away from the Alps like the English, the Dutch or Belgium one
who are used to travel to go riding.
We would like to continue our job with those retailers, inform and invite them to the
event, your event.
For that we need your help, we would like to receive your retailers’ listing to invite them to the
Snow Avant Première.
We will take in charge the retailers invitations and send them by mail, then e mail and plan a
phoning campaign to invite them to the Snow Avant Première.
The resorts
We will stay at La Clusaz in the french Alps and in Peyragudes in the Pyrénées.
La Clusaz is a beautiful typical resort well known for freeride and backcountry freestyle hills.
The resort always warmly welcomes and helps us organizing a nice event (beds facilities,
about 400m² exhibition space).
It’s easy to get there from Geneva airport for those who want to come by plane, either by
car (close from the motorway) or train (annecy train station at 30min).
Peyragudes is in the middle of the Pyrénées, the event will take place during the same time
as Ski Test Tour (same tests as Ski Test Tour for the ski industry) to satisfy most of the Pyrenean
retailers who usually sell both skis and snowboards.

La Clusaz
Dates : Sunday the 16th to Monday the
18th of January 2011.
Venue : La Clusaz, on the parking
below Balme, at the feet of the cable
cars of Balme and Fernuy.
Principle :
A village of tents (maximum 6x3m by exhibitor) on snow for equipment tests of season
2010/2011
An exhibition space located in the extension of the test village: each firm can reserve
a space of 3x3m to present their products.
The domain of Balme and the naturals “backcountry kickers”, the snowpark at 10 min
from the test village.
The Snow Avant-Première’s party regrouping all brands, riders, retailers, and the press
on Sunday, the 17th ofJanuary.
1 day Invitation for 2 persons per store including:
 1 ski pass per person for the La Clusaz’s resort
 1 breakfast,
 1 Lunch,
 Drink at the end of the day,
 A pass for the Snow Avant Première’s party,
 Possibility of additional days for 41,80 € VAT excl (50 € VAT incl) per person per
day
Functioning :
Tests will take place from 9 am to 4.30 pm
Entry and out of skis will be controlled by a software.
The exhibition space will not be delimited with walls. Each brand will have to bring
their display stands to build up the space which will be at their disposal.
Test Village and the exhibition tent will be locked after during the night.
Possibility to park your car behind the test village and the exhibition tent on the
parking of Balme.
Breakfast in test village.
Evening drinks in the showroom tent.

Peyragudes
Dates: Sunday the 30 rd and Monday the
31st January 2011.
We organize both ski and snowboard tests
in Peyragudes because we believe that it
will increase the number of retailers,
therefore your visibility on the Pyrenean
market.
Venue: on the mountainside of Peyresourde, at the foot of the chair lift of the Carousel
Following the example of La Clusaz, retailers are invited 1 day for 2 persons per store. They will
get:
1 ski pass per person and per day for the Peyragudes resort
1 Breakfast
1 Lunch
Accommodation // additional day
In la Clusaz, we propose some package (hostel night and additional riding day)
It includes a Hostel night (twin room), breakfast, Snow Avant Première additional day, a ski
pass and a lunch ticket.
A package cost 100 € VAT incl per person (90€ VAT incl if the reservation is made before
December the 15th 2009).
The retailers who only want to take an hostel night with breakfast will be charged 70€ VAT
incl. and 50€ VAT incl for an extra day on the Snow Avant Première (accreditation, skipass,
lunch ticket).
In Peyragudes we will propose a special price for a flat.
This year we provided a flat (for 4 persons) for 55€ VAT incl per person for two days.
The extra day including accreditation, skipass and lunch ticket will be charge 50€ VAT incl.
Communication
The web site, www.snowavantpremiere.com will be online middle of October 2009.
You will find every information regarding the event.
2 advertising mails send to the snowboards stores (1 invitation mid November, 1
reminding mid December 2009)
Articles in the professional and specialized magazine.

Retailers invitations
Snow Avant Première invitations are sent to a data base of more than 1000 french shops and
600 divided between Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Benelux and United kingdom.
We want to develop our European data base, for that we would like to work together with
Brands European headquarters in order to invite more and more retailers in each of these
countries. A shuttle between Geneva and la Clusaz will still be on this year again.

Test rental software
We use a software dedicated to manage a test flow, and send back information to the
exhibitors.
This is how it works :
1. Retailers who receive an invitation for the Snow Avant Premiere fill it and send it back
to us.
This invitation is valid for one testing day for 2 persons per shop.
2. We check if the shop is in our data base and if it buys snowboards from (at least) one
of our exhibitors.
3. We print on a plastic badge the information regarding the retailers: name, surname,
name of the shop, zip code, etc… and provide an unique barcode.
4. Before riding the new boards, the retailers have to go the welcome desk, we will verify
their identity and give them their personal badge.
If they didn’t ask for it before, we can provide badge on site.
5. As soon as he gets his badge, the retailer can rent a board at the booth of his favorite
brand.
Just before leaving the village, someone from our staff will “bip” his badge and the
barcode on the board (we provide special barcode for the exhibitors boards).
6. When the retailer comes back, we just “bip” his board and he can choose another
one board to test.
This software allows us to issue statistics for our exhibitors such as how many boards have
been tested during the day (or during the event).
We also provide detailled statistics day by day to each of our exhibitor : Name, surname of
the tester, the shop name, all the boards he tested during the day.
All these information are presented to every exhibitors after each day on paper leaf, and on
excel listing at the end of the event.

Prices
All our prices are intended VAT excluded,
4 750 € (4 600 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
6x3m outside booth AND a 6x3m booth inside the showroom tent in La Clusaz.
4 150 € (4 000 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
6x3m outside booth AND a 3x3m booth inside the showroom tent in La Clusaz.
3 600 € (3 450 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
3x3m outside booth AND a 3x3m booth inside the showroom tent in La Clusaz.
3 350 € (3 200 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
6x3m outside booth
2 650 € (2 550 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
3x3m inside booth.
2 400 € (2 300 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
3x3m outside booth.
600 € (500 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
6x3m booth on the stage of Peyragudes.
400 € (300 € if the application form is returned before November the 2nd 2009) for a
3x3m booth on the stage of Peyragudes.
These prices include 2 skipass per day for the staff of every company.
Additional ski pass and lunch ticket will be invoiced at the end of Snow Avant Première (17€
for a skipass and 16.5€ for a lunch ticket).
Please note :
1. The prices are for one booth for a brand, if the French distributor (or another one)
already participate to the event you just have to share the invoice. Or ask to your
headquarter.
2. To take part of the event we ask for 1196€ VAT incl before November the 16th 2009.
3. The price for Peyragudes increase for exhibitors who does not participate to La Clusaz
(300 VAT excl more).
4. Brands from “Snowboard Collective” get a discount of 100 VAT excl on La Clusaz
participation.
