OEB approves commodity price changes for Natural Resource Gas Limited
Toronto – Today the Ontario Energy Board approved changes to the natural gas
commodity prices Natural Resource Gas Limited (NRG) charges its customers effective
October 1, 2011.
An average residential consumer who buys natural gas directly from NRG and uses
2,003 cubic meters (m3) a year will pay approximately $5 less per year. The changes
reflect the cost of natural gas NRG forecasts it will have to pay over the next 12
months. This includes removing rate riders that were approved in NRG’s last
distribution rates and charged on consumer bills.
The Board reviews the natural gas commodity rates NRG charges its customers every
three months and adjusts them if necessary.
