Les Pays des 7 Vallées et du Ternois (198 communes, 75000 habitants) possèdent un patrimoine
historique important lié à leur histoire mouvementée (guerre de cent ans, Ducs de Bourgogne…).
Le GAL souhaite coopérer avec d’autres territoires européens afin de faire de ces richesses un
véritable atout économique.
The region of 7 Valleys and of Ternois (198 municipalities, 75000 inhabitants) has a rich historical
heritage as a result of its event-filled history (Hundred Years' War, Dukes of Burgundy). The LAG
wishes to cooperate with other European territories to turn the existence of such resources into a
viable economic asset.
Proposed objectives / activities
Objectifs :
- Mutualiser les compétences des territoires partenaires dans ce domaine
- Découvrir de nouvelles approches innovantes en terme de valorisation patrimoniale
- Renforcer l’identité des territoires et développer leur attractivité touristique
- Mettre en avant les forces et faiblesses des territoires sur la mise en valeur de leur patrimoine
Objectives:
- Share the skills of the territorial partners’ skills in this field
- Discover innovative approaches in terms of promotion of historical heritage
- Develop the territories’ identity as well as their scenic potential
- Highlight the territories’ strengths and weaknesses regarding the promotion of their historical
heritage
Actions :
- Visites d’expériences et analyse des territoires
- Réflexion commune (espace d’échange interactif)
- Echanges de collections, expositions, outils scénographiques….
- Création de circuits patrimoniaux
- Communication touristique commune sur les territoires partenaires
- Organisation conjointe d’un évènementiel
- Communication sur le projet (site Internet…)

- Study visits and analysis of territories
- Promotion of an interactive forum for the exchange of ideas
- Exchange of artwork, historic artefacts and military paraphernalia for the use of local
exhibitions.
- Schedule of public historical tours

PARTNERSHIP OFFER
- Devise a cross-marketing strategy to be used by all member territories for the improvement of
tourism.
- Organize and coordinate joint events among member territories
- Develop a marketing plan (i.e creation of marketing materials, website development and
maintenance, public media outreach, communications logistics etc).
