Plaine et montagne sont au programme de
cette virée qui conviendra particulièrement
aux randonneurs souhaitant se tester sur une
longue distance montagneuse. La route s’élève
en seconde partie de sortie pour une montée
au Hartmannswillerkopf, contrefort escarpé qui
surplombe Cernay et la Vallée de la Thur et qui fut
l’enjeu de terribles combats en 1915.
Au sommet, la croix lumineuse du Monument
national domine les vestiges militaires. Le
panorama, désormais placé sous le signe de la
paix, englobe la plaine d’Alsace, la chaine du
Massif des Vosges, de la Forêt-Noire et les Alpes
par beau temps !
