BEAUJOLAIS BLANC
L’APPELLATION BEAUJOLAIS BLANC - Information
Chardonnay is the royal white grape of Burgundy and thrives in calcareous soils. This wine
comes from parcels situated in the village of Corcelles in Beaujolais.
OUR VINES
Average age of vines : 20 years
Grape : 100% Chardonnay
Agriculture raisonnée
Area in production : 2 ha 40
Alc : 12.5%/vol.
VINIFICATION
Manual harvesting. Low temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks is balanced by a
small amount matured in oak casks to ensure roundness and length.
TASTING NOTES AND FOOD PAIRING
This white Beaujolais is characterised by floral notes and tropical fruits. It is a very balanced wine
with good length. It shows a balance between vivacity and structure. Ideal as an aperitif, it also
accompanies light, fine dishes, fish, and Asian cuisine or light curries.
CELLARING
Best drunk when fresh, from the first to the fourth year .
THE 2014 VINTAGE
The 2014 vintage saw excellent conditions early on promising a wonderful vintage. The
month of August saw some rain which brought concerns that the harvest would be
difficult. However the sun in September ripened the grapes perfectly, resulting in a wine
which is balanced, fresh and silky, promising beautifully aromatic complexity.
