Mosaic 150 Mural complete
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 23, 2016 Mosaic 150 Mural Fort St. John – The City of Fort St. John would like to thank all those who came out to paint tiles in the Mosaic 150 Mural workshops. The community efforts have created a mural representing a flatbed train car with images that are unique to our city. Fort St. John is one of fifteen communities in British Columbia to be a part of this national project to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017. The city’s mural will also celebrate the 75th birthday of the Alaska Highway in 2017. When completed, this mural will be connected to a large virtual train comprised of cars made by 150 other Canadian communities that will make its way across our nation online, through a series of mini videos and pictures. Progress of the train can be followed on the Canada 150 website: http://canada150mosaic.com/#1 There will be an unveiling ceremony at Canada Day on July 1st, 2017 in Centennial Park, but can be seen on temporary display at City Hall until the unveiling. This project has been made possible in part by the government of Canada. Ce projet a été rendu possible en partie grâce au gouvernement du Canada.
