Larry Seeley - nominated by the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering
Larry Seeley has established himself as a successful business executive,
innovative engineer and determined research leader. He founded and served as
President and CEO of Recapture Metals Limited, and was also President and
CEO of Lakefield Research Ltd. growing the company to over 1,000 employees
with laboratories and pilot plants in Canada and around the world. He also
spent 25 years with Falconbridge Ltd. as Corporate Vice-President of
Environmental Services and in other senior roles in operations and technology.
En plus de ses fonctions de professeur, Larry Seely a fait beaucoup de travail
bénévole pour appuyer nombre de maisons d’enseignement, comme Cambrian
College, Science Nord, l’Université Trent, UOIT, l’Université de Toronto et
l’Université Queen’s. Il est président de la Société canadienne de génie chimique
et il est un ancien président de la Société canadienne de métallurgie.
Through this impressive record of achievement, Larry Seeley has consistently
demonstrated good business practices as well as a dedication to good
engineering principles.
