How taking a gap year can enhance your career prospects?
(A gap year is a break usually taken between leaving university and starting work, and is seen as a
valuable way to gain work experience and life skills).
Then, write a proposal to members of a student’s film society interested in films with an IR theme
(around 300-350 words):
You are a member of a University IR film society and have received the following message: “We’ve got a
new group of students interested in joining the IR film society this year. I was hoping some of our older
members would be prepared to give a short presentation on one of their favourite films. You could
include a short summary of the plot and the theme and then why you particularly like it.” Write the
proposal for the society.

can we do more to ensure that local traditions are kept?
