Limoges, more than 300 years of innovation
Well known for the production of luxury porcelain, Limoges supports its traditional
industry and promotes at the same time the establishment of new structures such
as engineering training centers, and research centers dedicated to technical
ceramics. The ceramists community in Limoges is part of international specialized
networks. Contracts between industrials and laboratories allowed to develop
innovative processes and products.
Today, the ceramics materials have applications in various sectors such as medical,
aeronautics, optoelectronics, surface treatments, building... and lots of other
sectors.
The European Ceramic Cluster, a challenge for the future
Since 2010, the ENSCI (1), the SPCTS (2) are located in the CEC, a new building more
functional where the scientists closely cooperate to get knowkedge and to create
new opportunities for industrial companies.
The complex is located on Technopole ESTER where the presence of innovative
companies and technical centers specialised in ceramics permits the creation of
numerous industrial projects. For the companies interested, Limoges offers an
exceptional living environment with active local authorities involved to support
the establishment of new structures.

Ceramic Network 2017
Traditionnaly known for the crft use, ceramics progressively becomes more and more important in the industrial world. The unique prop- erties and characteristics of ceramics material (technical ceramic) offered new technological progress in various sectors such as
automobile, medical, aeronautics, space... indeed, the use of the ceramics appears to be a major issue for national but also European industry. Thanks to the concentration of major players in the field of ceramics, gathered in the European competitiveness cluster
(composed of industrials, training centers, technical centers...). Limoges and its region appear like the incotrovertible exchange place in this sector.
that is why the European Ceramic Cluster, organizer of this 6th edition of CERAMIC NETWORK, invites you to participate to this decisive meeting on June 7th and 8th 2017 at ESTER technopole in Limoges (France)/
You will be able to develop new opportunities of partnerships, and to identify new ceramic uses and applications during thematic conferences, visits of sites and BtoB meetings.
