Title: Development of ceramic coatings on metallic substrates for mechanical applications The purpose of this work is to develop oxide and nitride coatings via liquid route on metallic substrates and to compare their mechanical properties (hardness, adhesion and tribology). Oxide coatings are made of sol-gel process on steel substrates. Nitride coatings are made starting by silazane precursors. Thermal treatment conditions are optimized to ensure the film adhesion on substrate and the presence of phases which exhibit the best behavior in terms of hardness and tribological properties. Title: SiCNYO prealloyed nanopowders by spray pyrolysis : synthesis and thermal behavior The obtention of dense and homogeneous Si3N4/SiC composites requires sintering aids such as Al2O3 February 2015 2/5 and/or Y2O3. To obtain a best homogeneity and in order to promote a good control of the chemical composition, the liquid synthesis route seems to be more promising. Prealloyed nanopowders seem to be promising to solve the heterogeneity problems. The obtained precursor must be adapted to the atomization process.
