Introduction :
Les légalistes prêchent que le salut s’obtient des bonnes œuvres sociales,
communautaires (Construction d’églises, écoles, hôpitaux…)... Par contre les calvinistes disent
qu’il suffit de croire au Seigneur Jésus-Christ pour être sauvé ; les œuvres n’ont rien à faire ; c’est
pourquoi ils boivent et fument sans aucune inquiétude ; mais quand à la troisième école, celle de
William Branham, on est sauvé par grâce (élection) ne dépendant ni de celui qui le veut ni de celui
qui court. Mais par la souveraineté de Dieu qui nous donne la foi dans sa Parole, Foi qui se justifie
par les bonnes œuvres et une vie pure en reconnaissance du salut acquit, et de l’amour de Christ.
Donc selon Fr. Branham, les bonnes œuvres ne suffisent pas pour être sauvé, Mais quand on l’est,
on vie conformément à la Parole de Dieu
-Dieu établit une alliance sans condition avec Abraham :’’sort de ton pays, va dans le pays que Je
te montrerai, Je te bénirais et rendrais ton nom grand’’
Genèse 12:1-4
1) L'Éternel dit à Abram: Va-t-en de ton pays, de ta patrie, et de la maison de ton père, dans le
pays que je te montrerai.
2) Je ferai de toi une grande nation, et je te bénirai; je rendrai ton nom grand, et tu seras une source
de bénédiction.
3) Je bénirai ceux qui te béniront, et je maudirai ceux qui te maudiront; et toutes les familles de la
terre seront bénies en toi.
4) Abram partit, comme l'Éternel le lui avait dit, et Lot partit avec lui. Abram était âgé de soixantequinze ans, lorsqu'il sortit de Charan.
-Nous sommes sauvés par grâce, mais cette grâce n’est pas infinie.
Romains 6:1-4
1) Que dirons-nous donc? Demeurerions-nous dans le péché, afin que la grâce abonde?
2) Loin de là! Nous qui sommes morts au péché, comment vivrions-nous encore dans le péché?
3) Ignorez-vous que nous tous qui avons été baptisés en Jésus-Christ, c'est en sa mort que nous
avons été baptisés?
4) Nous avons donc été ensevelis avec lui par le baptême en sa mort, afin que, comme Christ est
ressuscité des morts par la gloire du Père, de même nous aussi nous marchions en nouveauté de
vie.

Death don't bother me; it don't bother any believer. No wonder David saw it, said, "Death
where is your sting?" or Paul, "Grave where is your victory?' Yes, sir.
There when Adam sinned then... The most horrible thing I can see is that day when them children
sinned. And God called them out behind the bushes, and throwed them an old bloody aprons in
there. There stood His heritage, His own children standing there. Look at Eve, around that beautiful
body of hers is wrapped an old bloody sheepskin, the blood running down off of her like that, and
dripping down her perfect shaped body. There's Adam standing there, not a brute, a perfect made
man, his muscles in his arms, the muscles in his big legs, his shaggy hair around his shoulders, his
dark beard hanging: a perfect man.

Look at that now. I see his shoulders stooping; around his big body here comes an old
bloody sheepskin; running down those big manly legs comes blood; tears is dripping off of his
cheeks, patting on the top of Eve's head as she leans over on his bosom, and little Eve crying, the
tears patting down as it mixes with blood running down her bosom. What's the matter? Something's
happened. They can cry now; they're mortal now. They're dying now. There you are.
I can see God say, "Depart out of My Presence." Couldn't stand it... I can see Adam start walking
away, and as he did, I can hear something going [Brother Branham claps his hands--Ed.]" What
it is? Old bloody sheepskin flopping against his leg as he was going out. Oh, I can see God Who
covers space and time, Who has no beginning or ending. I can see it all bottled down like a funnel,
coming down like this for one four little lettered word l-o-v-e. He couldn't see His children depart
from Him now. Why? He had made the covenant conditional with Adam, but now He makes it
unconditional. Said, "I will put enmity between the woman's seed," and the--and He would bruise the
serpent's head and so forth, promising a Saviour.

Let's turn our cameras to another picture. Four thousand years later we're in Jerusalem;
we're at a window. I hear a noise. What is it? A screaming mob hollering, some poor man has come
against it. We raise up the shade and look out the window. Coming down through the streets comes
an old rugged cross, bouncing over the cobblestones, bearing--rubbing out the bloody footprints of
the Bearer. He's going to Calvary. His back beaten till His ribs is showing through nearly. There He
starts up the road, walking along as He's going. Look at them. I look all over His back. There's little
red spots over that little old garment was wove through out without a seam.
E-65 Look at those little red spots. What are they? Directly, they get bigger, bigger, bigger. First
thing, they all run into one big spot. Now I hear something again. [Brother Branham claps his hands-Ed.] What is it? There goes the Second Adam. One brought death; here goes the One bringing
Life. There's the one who took life out of the world. Here's the One Who's bringing Life in the world,
the Second Adam with His Own Blood hitting against His legs like that, the Son of God going to
Calvary to bear away our sins yonder, that through the shedding of Blood to perfect a man or
woman unconditionally. Oh, "No man can come to Me except the Father draws Him; and all that
comes, I'll give him Everlasting Life and raise him up at the last day."

E-55 And the only way that God will ever receive a man is when he comes on the basis of
the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ: with the same baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the same
power, with the same signs, with the same wonders, with the same glory, with the same miracles,
with just exactly like it was back there when He was tore apart... The Holy Ghost is here today
putting in a church together, make the same kind of a church it was on the day of Pentecost on the
basis of the shed Blood; God's covenant.
When Christ was tore apart, His body was received up, and His Spirit come on the earth to look
out a church for Him. And here it is, bringing you the same thing, with the same signs, the same
wonders. The same things Jesus did, said, "You shall do also, I'll be with you, even in you, to the
end of the world." And here we are on the basis of the shed Blood. Don't you want to come to such

Now, Abraham, God called him by election. He wasn't any better than anybody else. He
came down, out of--from Babylon, out of the... Perhaps, maybe, his father and them might have
been an idol worshiper, for all I know. It was in Babylon, and Babylon was the beginning of idolatry.
It was established by Ham's children, which was Nimrod, and finally, first was called "the gates of

paradise," later called Babylon, "confusion." There's where idolatry was set up, and perhaps
Abraham's father might have been an idolater.
But he came down into the... a land of Shinar, in the city of Ur, and there they sojourned in there,
and God, by sovereign grace, called Abraham. Not Abraham calling God, God called Abraham
and give him the covenant. Now, to my Arminian brethren, this may shock just a little bit, but He
give it to him unconditionally (That's right.), not "If you'll do this, if you'll do that..." There's no "ifs"
attached to it. "I have done it." Amen.
In the garden of Eden God made a covenant with Adam; Adam broke it. Every time God makes a
covenant--or man makes a covenant with God, he breaks it. But this time God's determined that He
wasn't going to let His children be lost. He made the covenant wholly unconditional, told Abraham, "I
saved you, and now you're coming to Me in an old age, not only you, but your seed after you have I
saved." My, that...
E-28 One of the greatest curses on the full gospel church, is not positionally knowing what they
are in Christ Jesus. I've always said, "I meet two classes of people. And one of them is the full
gospel, and the other is the fundamental." Fundamental knows where he's standing positionally,
only he's never been borned again, just the fundamental teaching alone, so he doesn't have any
faith. And the full gospel has been borned again but don't know where he stands. So it's just, if I
could ever get full gospel pentecostal faith and fundamental believers, or either fundamental
believer--fundamental doctrine in the pentecostal faith, we'd have it made.
It's like a man that can write a check, but he hasn't have any money in the bank. The other one can
write--can't write it, and when they can write a check, hasn't got no money in the bank. The man that
can't write a check has money, but he don't know how to write the check. That's the way it is. What's
he going to do? One's got money in the bank, but he can't write a check. The other one can write a
check, and ain't got no money in the bank. Then what can he do? You got to get those two together.

Then God takes the faith that Abraham had, and placed it in every believer by the Holy
Spirit. You get it? Now... Then you begin to believe all things, hope all things; that's when the
Gospel goes to work in the heart.
It's not nothing, no great... I think people makes it too complicated by giving some great, big
lectures, big long words, and... What does the common class of people know about them big
words? What would I know about them? Nothing. No, sir. I just like to see it just really in it's
simplicity. Yet it's the most powerful thing that the world's ever knowed of, is the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. Just accept it upon the basis of the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus; come and believe Him.
That's the whole thing right there.
That's what gives visions. He told me He would do it, and He does it. That's all. Just believe it. He
told you He'd heal you; just believe it. That's all. He said He'd save you; just believe it and
watch what happens. See? That's all.

Now Abraham, God called him, give him the covenant unconditionally, told him He'd
come to him in an old age, He'd save him and his seed after him, and told him he was going to have
a child. Abraham then, was about seventy-five years old. Sarah ten years younger then Abraham,
made her sixty-five years old. That'd be forty, fifty, sixty, be twenty-five years past menopause. They
married when they were young, and all this time they'd lived together as husband and wife. And now
God says she's going to have a child by him. But the Bible said, "Abraham staggered not at the
promise of God through unbelief, but was strong, giving praise to God." He knowed God was going
to do it.

E-43 See, God, when you was born, He started painting a picture. You started getting older. And
when you get up about twenty-five years old, the picture's completed. He said, "All right, death,
come on now." First thing you know, you wake up on a morning, and notice, you say, "Mother, you
got wrinkles on your..."
"Yes, dad, and the gray hair coming too." What is it? Death set in. Just keeps crowding you down.
After while, it'll finally take you. But in the resurrection, every thing that death done will be taken
away. The picture will... Then you'll come back in a resurrection, to perfection. Amen. And a atom,
that creates a blood cell, will make a perfect one (Amen.) without sin, can't be destroyed, never get
old. Oh, what a... Isn't it...
"How do you get it," you say? "What--what are--what are you selling, preacher?" I'm selling
insurance. Don't you want a policy? Here's the only one way you can come, on the basis of the shed
Blood of Christ. If God knocks at your heart door, God's calling you. And the very minute... Here it
is. The very minute you believe it, and receive it, you have Immortal Life. God said so.

Look. Romans 8:20 said, "Those who He has predestinated into the covenant... (You
couldn't come without it yourself. 'No man can come to Me except My Father draws him.') Those
who were predestinated, He has called: those who He has called, He has justified: and those
who He justified, He has glorified." Then in God's Presence you're already glorified, waiting. Isn't
that marvelous? And now, while we're waiting for our redeemed body, we are setting together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit moving upon the believer, great powerful baptisms
going forward, the world on the outside, laughing, God working with them, healing the sick,
showing visions, all kinds of signs and wonders, the evening sun going down. The Christian's
looking up. There he gets his...?... The atomic bomb's hanging in, over there, the world all shaking
and don't know what to do, and the Christians shouting the praises of God: "Come, Lord Jesus." My,
Isn't that marvelous?

104 AINSI DIT LE SEIGNEUR, il vous faudra avoir l’amour parfait pour entrer dans cet endroit-là,
car c’est tout ce qu’il y avait là-bas. Peu importe l’argent, le nombre de démonstrations religieuses,
la quantité de bonnes œuvres que vous avez pu faire, ou ce que vous avez pu faire, ça, ça ne
comptera absolument pas ce jour-là. Il faudra avoir l’amour parfait. Alors, quoi que vous fassiez,

prêche l’Évangile parce que je L’aime. Certainement. Pensez-vous que je traverserais les mers
déchaînées, avec les avions qui piquent et qui remontent, comme ça, et les éclairs qui brillent

Beaucoup ont combattu le bon combat, ont achevé la course, ont gardé la Foi; ils reposent

Ce n'est pas le fait de manger des viandes, de faire telle chose et de perfectionner le corps,
vous ne le recevrez jamais avec cela. Et devoir abandonner ceci, et faire ceci, et faire cela et
encore faire ceci, cela c'est la loi! C'est légaliste! Nous le croyons ainsi: «C'est par la grâce que
nous sommes sauvés!» Et ce n'est pas vous. Vous n'avez rien à voir avec cela. C'est l'élection de
Dieu qui vous sauve: «Nul ne peut venir à Moi, si mon père ne l'attire.» C'est vrai. Et il... Tout ce
que Jésus est venu faire, c'était d'obtenir ceux que le Père pré-connaissait; et Il les a prédestinés
avant la fondation du monde, à devenir fils et filles de Dieu. Amen, «Ce n'est ni celui qui court, ni
celui qui veut, mais Dieu qui fait miséricorde!»
C'est Dieu qui le fait! Vous ne pouvez pas du tout vous vanter. Il n'y a pas une seule chose
que vous ayez faite, Dieu par grâce, vous a sauvé; ce n'est pas vous-même; si c'était le cas, vous
auriez quelque chose dont vous pourriez vous vanter. Mais vous n'avez rien pour vous vanter.

Toutes les louanges Lui reviennent. C'est Lui. Alors Il vous donne cette ferme assurance, Il l'a
jurée par un serment, l'impossibilité pour ses enfants de jamais être perdus.

Maintenant, on reçoit des coups de fouet pour avoir mal agi, on sème ce qu'on récolte,
on reçoit cela. Ne pensez pas maintenant que vous puissiez simplement continuer à sortir et à
pécher et vous en tirer sans problème! Si vous le faites, et que vous ayez cette attitude, cela
montre que vous n'êtes jamais né de nouveau. Vous saisissez? Si vous avez encore le désir en
vous de faire le mal, alors vous êtes encore dans le mal, Voyez-vous? «Car Il a rendu parfaits pour
toujours ceux qui...»
Et ces bêtes sous l'Ancien Testament, aux jours de la loi, offerts annuellement,
continuellement, ne pouvaient jamais ôter le péché. Mais lorsque nous mettons les mains sur Sa
tête et que nous confessons nos péchés et que nous sommes nés de nouveau de l'Esprit de Dieu,
nous n'avons plus le désir du péché. Le péché s'est éloigné de vous. Et c'est pour le temps et
l'éternité!

Vous ferez des fautes, vous tomberez, vous ferez volontairement le mal, vous sortirez
parfois pour faire certaines choses; cela ne signifie pas que vous soyez perdu, cela signifie
que vous allez recevoir une correction!

Mon petit garçon, maintes fois... Mes enfants feront certaines choses, les vôtres en font
aussi, de manière à ce que vous... ils savent que c'est contre les règles établies. Et ils savent à
quoi s'attendre quand ils le font: ils auront la fessée à cause de cela, et parfois une bonne!
Mais c'est toujours votre enfant! Certainement!

Il est impossible pour cet homme de se perdre de nouveau, une fois, celui qui est une fois né
de la Vie éternelle, Dieu n'est pas un «donneur indien». «Celui qui écoute mes Paroles, et qui croit
à celui qui m'a envoyé, a la Vie éternelle et ne viendra jamais en jugement, mais il est passé de la
mort à la vie. Et je le ressusciterai à la fin des temps.» Voilà la promesse de Dieu!

Maintenant, si vous continuez à dire: «Eh bien! alors je puis simplement faire...»
Je fais toujours ce que je veux faire. Mais si vous êtes chrétien, vous ne voulez pas faire
les choses qui sont fausses, à cause de la Vie-même qui est en vous, le fondement-même. Si
vous voulez faire les mauvaises choses, cela montre que les mauvaises choses sont là, à
l'intérieur. Comment l'eau amère et douce peuvent-elles provenir de la même fontaine?
Malachie 3:7-18
7) Depuis le temps de vos pères, vous vous êtes écartés de mes ordonnances, Vous ne les avez
point observées. Revenez à moi, et je reviendrai à vous, dit l'Éternel des armées. Et vous dites: En
quoi devons-nous revenir?
8) Un homme trompe-t-il Dieu? Car vous me trompez, Et vous dites: En quoi t'avons-nous
trompé? Dans les dîmes et les offrandes.
9) Vous êtes frappés par la malédiction, Et vous me trompez, La nation tout entière!
10) Apportez à la maison du trésor toutes les dîmes, Afin qu'il y ait de la nourriture dans ma
maison; Mettez-moi de la sorte à l'épreuve, Dit l'Éternel des armées. Et vous verrez si je
n'ouvre pas pour vous les écluses des cieux, Si je ne répands pas sur vous la bénédiction en
abondance.

13) Vos paroles sont rudes contre moi, dit l'Éternel. Et vous dites: Qu'avons-nous dit contre toi?
14) Vous avez dit: C'est en vain que l'on sert Dieu; Qu'avons-nous gagné à observer ses préceptes,
Et à marcher avec tristesse A cause de l'Éternel des armées?
15) Maintenant nous estimons heureux les hautains; Oui, les méchants prospèrent; Oui, ils
tentent Dieu, et ils échappent!
16) Alors ceux qui craignent l'Éternel se parlèrent l'un à l'autre; L'Éternel fut attentif, et il écouta; Et
un livre de souvenir fut écrit devant lui Pour ceux qui craignent l'Éternel Et qui honorent son nom.
17) Ils seront à moi, dit l'Éternel des armées, Ils m'appartiendront, au jour que je prépare;
J'aurai compassion d'eux, Comme un homme a compassion de son fils qui le sert.
18) Et vous verrez de nouveau la différence Entre le juste et le méchant, Entre celui qui sert
Dieu Et celui qui ne le sert pas.
