Both Clos Sésame gîtes, L’Atelier and La Longère, are ideally
situated to visit the second world war Landing beaches,
Bayeux and Caen, places of memorial and history.
You will spend a nice, relaxing and peacefull holiday (afternoon
naps under apple trees rocked by bird song) or for the more
athletic why not try nautical and equestrian activities, golf,
excursions, cycling. For a more cultural stay, visit the museums
and sample the local gastronomy.

Le Clos Sésame
In Normandy, 2 km from Bayeux and 4 km from the seashore, Sophie will welcome you in the countryside at Le Clos Sésame.
There in the authentic frame of a XVIIIth century restored farm you will find two dependences converted into gîtes.
You can walk along the medieval streets of Bayeux, discover its Cathedral, its Tapestry and visit the museums.
You may, also, visit the Landing beaches including La Pointe du Hoc, Colleville-sur-mer, Omaha Beach and its American cemetery,
Arromanches and the remains of the artificial harbour.
And finally, on your return to the gîte, why not stop at Port-en-Bessin, a very attractive small fishing harbour, plus Longues-sur-mer,
the German battery, a major work of the Atlantic Wall.

L’Atelier is an old dependency of 120 m²
completely renovated in 2008.
A French window leads to a private
terrace with no overlook, south
orientated, with views of the country
side.
La Longère is a 100 m² gîte with a large
fire place, mixing the charm of old stones
and the cosiness of wooden beams.
Experience the typical atmosphere of
the longères in Bessin.

Our gîtes are associated “Gîtes de France”
and are classified as 3 épis (great confort).

Animals are authorized (under conditions).
In the winter a warm cottage will welcome you.
La Longère
Next to the gîtes is a meadow where, depending on the season, various farm animals graze.
In Spring blossoming trees in the orchard produce delicious fruits in Autumn which are then used in the preparation of Norman specialities.
On site : games, petanque, tennis table, horse riding, swing, badminton and a footpath right at your doorstep for pleasant walks.
To help you prepare your excursions, you will find information packs including the loan of books and DVDs about the region and the Landing.

L’Atelier : beds for 2 extra persons possible, 20 euros per person .
La Longère : welcome fire is free of charge, wood thereafter at a cost of 8 euros per basket.
