Volvo Europa Truck is de enige vrachtwagenfabriek in België en de grootste
binnen de Zweedse groep.
Volvo Europa Truck est le seul fabricant de camions en Belgique et le plus
grand au sein du groupe suédois.
Volvo Europa Truck, Belgium's only truck factory, is the largest within the

fabriek produceert 30% van
de totale Volvo-vrachtwagenproductie
wereldwijd.
Volvo Europa Truck produceert het complete Europese gamma middelzware
en zware vrachtwagens. Alle
trucks worden gebouwd volgens de wensen van de klant,
waarvan 30% met specifieke ontwerpaanpassingen.
In 2004 assembleerde Volvo
Europa Truck 29.819 vrachtwagens. Meer dan 90% daarvan vond een afnemer in de
Europese Unie. In juli 2004
liep de 500.000ste in België
gebouwde Volvo vrachtwagen van de lijn.
In 2004 en 2005 investeerde
Volvo zo'n 14,75 miljoen euro
voor o.a. de vernieuwing van
de testbanken op de mix-lijn
en voor technische aanpassingen om de lijnefficiëntie
en de productieflexibiliteit te
verbeteren. Zo wil het bedrijf
zich voorbereiden op de toekomst en zich handhaven als
grootste
assemblageplant
van Volvo Trucks. Als deel
van de Volvo Groep worden
de activiteiten in België gekenmerkt door de kernwaarden van : kwaliteit, veiligheid
en zorg voor het milieu. Volvo
Europa Truck is ISO-gecertificeerd en behaalde vorig jaar
als eerste bedrijf in de Volvo
Truck groep het OHSAS certificaat.

production mondiale des camions Volvo. Volvo Europa
Truck produit la gamme européenne complète des poids
mi-lourds et lourds. Tous les
camions sont fabriqués selon
les souhaits du client ; 30%
d’entre eux ont même un design spécifique. Volvo Europa
Truck a assemblé 29.819 camions en 2004, dont plus de
90% étaient destinés à des
acheteurs de l'Union Européenne. Le 500.000ème camion Volvo est sorti des chaînes de montage belges en
juillet 2004.
En 2004 et 2005, Volvo a
investi quelque 14,75 millions d'euros, entre autres,
pour moderniser des bancs
de test sur la ligne mixte et
pour réaliser des adaptations
techniques destinées à améliorer l'efficacité, ainsi que
la flexibilité de la chaîne de
production. L'entreprise veut
ainsi se préparer à l'avenir et
maintenir sa position de plus
grande usine d'assemblage
de camions Volvo.
En tant que membre du Groupe Volvo, ses activités sont caractérisées par les valeurs essentielles de la maison mère:

l'environnement. Volvo Europa Truck est certifiée ISO et a
été la première entreprise du
groupe Volvo Trucks
à obtenir la certification OHSAS.

makes the complete European range of medium-heavy
and heavy trucks. All are
built to meet the customer's
requirements, 30% with specific design modifications. In
2004 Volvo Europa Truck assembled 29,819 trucks. More
than 90% found buyers in
the European Union. In July
2004 the 500,000th Volvo
truck assembled in Belgium
rolled off the line.
In 2004 and 2005 Volvo
invested about 14.75 million euro in, among other
things, the renewal of the
test benches on the mixline and technical adaptations designed to improve
line efficiency and production flexibility. With these
developments the company
is preparing for the future
and intends maintaining its
position as Volvo Trucks'
largest assembly plant. As
part of the Volvo Group,
the company's activities are
characterised by the group's
core values of quality, safety,
and concern for the environment. Volvo Europa Truck is
ISO-certified and last year
became the first company in
the Volvo Truck group to obtain the OHSAS certificate.
