(bis 3 lignes) Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what’s to be, a resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, far greater than we know, for some the journey’s quicker, for some the journey’s slow. And when the journey finally ends, we’ll claim a great reward, and find an everlasting peace, together with the Lord. (bis 2 lignes) Louis Jean Ambroise Sunrise December 18, 1950 Sunset May 31, 2015 R.I.P. Dad. Instrumental Music Louis was born on December 18, 1950 in Cap Haitian Haiti, son of the late Anne Alcime and Cherfilus Ambroise. Louis wanted to be remembered as someone who was God-fearing, who brought joy to everyone around him, someone who was caring, loving, helpful, kind, someone, who stood for something greater. Knowing the kind of man Louis was, his last request would’ve been so: Please don’t say that I gave up, just say that I gave in; don’t say I lost the battle, for it was God’s war to lose or win; please don’t say how good I was, but that I did my best; just say I tried to do what’s right, to give the most I could, not less; please don’t give me wings or halos, that’s for God to do; I want no more than I deserve, no extras, just my due; please don’t give flowers, or talk in real hushed tones; don’t be concerned about me now, I ‘m well with God, I’ve made it home; don’t talk about what could have been, it’s over and it’s done, just see to all my family’s needs, especially the little ones; when you draw a picture of me, don’t draw me as a saint; I’ve done some good, I’ve done some wrong so, use all your paint; not just the bright and light tones, use some gray and dark; in fact, don’t put me down on canvas, paint me in your heart; don’t just remember the good times, but remember all the bad; for life is full of many things, some happy and some sad, but if you must do something then I have one request: forgive me for the wrongs I’ve done, and with the love that’s left, thank God for my soul’s resting. Thank God for I’ve been blessed, thank God for all who loved me, praise God who loved me best. Louis is survived by: his wife, Suzette Campas-Ambroise; sons, Jean Ambroise and Louis Ambroise; step-daughter, Sascha Compas; sisters, Glady Brutus and Elimene Ambroise; mother and father-in-law; Philomene and Jean Florestal; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
